London Police Murder Innocent Civilian

Well, in a country where police officers hardly ever carry guns, if I were the man, I would assume the so called officer was actually a psycho trying to get me to stop so he could shoot me. But this is still tragic, I don't know what's going on in London right now.The pleasure's all mine.

If this was in public (where a lot of people were), would it not stand to suffice that common criminals wouldn't be brandishing weapons and conducting random shootings where said crowd could identify them?
Like has been said above, it's tragic that this guy died and all, but he goofed.Reclusion

What other alternative did the policeman(men?) have? He ran away after police warnign to tell him to stop. Should they have let him run onto the train so he could potentially blow up maybe tens of people? The only thing that they could do was stop him where he was.

Ok first of all i guess most of us here have never had a machine gun pointed to the head so we would never know how we would react... it's sad the police had to resort to that kind of tactic to imobilize someone running from a "Police STOP" warning... i guess that kind of situation is another side effect of terrorist bombings, everyone is nervous, even trained professionals. I think i can understand both sides of the situation but i would definitely punish a police officer that murders an innocent civilian for not stoping... and i would probably deem responsible the guys that gave cops the authorization to shoot on sight after such a traumatic event, the effort to prevent terrorism should not be made felt directly on the streets because such measures only make the civilians more nervous and also make the terrorists felt like they accomplished something... effort should be made by the secret services and not by the common police.A kiss is a rosy dot over the 'i' of loving.

The circumstances surrounding this whole event are obviously unclear. For you to be so cock-in-fist sure about this guy deserving his fate is ridiculous, actually. At the very least, there's a lot of question marks raised by this event.
*The cops were not in uniform. (reported by media)
*The victim was only in UK for 3 years. (reported by media)
*The victim was Brazillian (reported by media), so it's possible he may not have been fluent in the language.
*The victim was "pinned to the ground" then shot. (reported by media)
*According to the victim's cousin, the victim owned a multi-day pass, and if his statement is not untrue, why would he "jump the barricade"? (cousin's statement reported by media)
*The authorities have admitted there was no link between the victim and the crime, and the only reason for having suspected him is the same building he was from was under surveillance, and wearing a heavy coat in 70 degree weather. (reported by media)
It's not that "I'm being juvenile and should have just said, 'I didn't realize that'", it's that I don't agree with you. I don't think that it's suddenly ok for any cops, British or American to just go around shooting suspects just for wearing coats in cool weather and running away from them. Especially when they have the suspect on the ground, already. I've work a coat plenty of times in 70 degree weather, especially if I was planning on being out late that night.
