you're turned off to science because the nature of human understanding. It is always changing what we know, what we asume. How do I know the universe is expanding? I personally don't because I don't study the subject, I don't think you do either so I would suggest neither of us are educated or informed enough to talk about it without refering to texts. Work through it and come back, disprove it and take it to the scientific comunity if you want. The fact is it is what we know currently to be true but could change the next day. That feild of unsertanty is always getting smaller. I think we both on the same page here, I'm just not going to dumb it down any further for you.

I don't study astrophysics, neither do you or so it seems. Without refering to texts and notes for ideas and explainations for understand phenomena and theories, knowledge and information would be hard to access and attain. Don't take it for face value, read into it if you want but the idea is to disprove it, find failings in it then move on. If you reject that then we have noting more to say here.

Another question regarding my art though...

I have always, even before I met Abby and before she led me to Christ, had always drawn Angels and Demons... does that mean anything? Like was I religious but just not accepting or seeing it? I actually made a comment long long time ago when I used to play Diablo 2 with an RP friend about how I always RP Angels or play as a Paladin in Diablo(before I found hte power of the Necromancer) even though 'm not religious, I dunno, just got me thinking.

I haven't been trying to prove you wrong, I've just been saying you can't say they're facts without being able to understand and prove them for yourself... But, I doubt you're even reading my posts with an open mind, being it's 3 A.M. and all...

It is not my area of study, I don't claim I personally know any of this for fact or have tested it myself. I do not need that to know if somethings true but if I ever needed to know I would research it. You have to sometimes fall back on the majority or well educated people who are into this stuff a lot because most of it is esoteric and is not as important to the common man. On a topic you made up here I am trying to show you how someone would go about disproving or proving a theory, the ideai is to disprove it rather then explain it or understand it, I am not intrested in doing either but it is something for you to do if you want to challenge the idea. It is taken as true (or whatever you want to call it) by the public, I woudn't refer to this as blind faith as the matter is explained and reasearched by well educated people and could change the next second.


It may be important to the scientific comunity but rarely to me or you. If it is too hard to understand and base your life around then stick with christianity.


The message and ideas are more important, essically on the internet. If you could understand what I was trying to say then that's all that matters. You're ripping on me because of a single word. Do you want me to run your shit through a spell check?


What ToT said and what I think on the subject of theories are simular enough. He summed up what I was trying to tell you and it was very clear, clear enough to know that what he said is what I was trying to say. As for an analogy... Take blacks and whites, most feel the same about each other, but that makes them more alike in that sense...

For the past however long it was, we've been discussing how theories can be proven as facts and vice versa, but yet, you keep rewording your statements around ever so often... Theories can be proven true but "true" and "fact", that meaning will always in transition. What we know to be true will always be changing and that's the difference between religion and science. I think you've misinterpited what I have said that's all.

I think you're becoming just as incoherent as I am, sleep deprivation will do that sometimes... I'll give us a few more hours before we start sounding inane in our replies... :P

But this may sound weird, but I was just thinking about posting a reply explaining the difference between the words "truth" and "fact"... Which neither mean the same thing, but some misinterpret the two...

Religion and science, as in everything else, have there similarities and differences... I was getting at that people of both occupations show just as much pride and appreciation in what they believe in as the other does, which makes them similar in that aspect, but have different ideal's...

Sort of like relationship's... Your strongest relationship's are with those who you fight with the most, but form a sense of respect for them... May take a longer time to appreciate those people though...

Such as yourself... I respect you a lot more than most on these forums... Alteast you try and debate with me on these topics and stand firm with your opinion, and to me, that is awsome... So keep it up, only way to learn, or teach even, right?
