i'd never seen firefly but i went to see it in the cinema anyways becuase one of my friends told me abit about it and i thought it sounded good.

In fact one of the things that made me want to go see it was that he told me FOX axed it and i thought "god i hate that Rupert Murdoch fella i hope it does well."

I really enjoyed it though and thought it was a really good movie.

might check firefly if i see it on tv now

okay did reasearch and thats the one to go with. As far as sequels go, we've been told that 50 mil (domestic) or 80 mil (worldwide) would be keys towards a sequel. In order for Serenity to stay in most theatres, and also to be picked up by the shitty theatres that pick up movies 3 months after release, it needs to do good numbers in the next few weeks and stay in the top 10. It's currently predicted that history of violence will beat out serenity for the 10th spot by 300k this weekend, putting us out of the top 10 and losing us more theatres. Now, we we're 400k over last week on our expected income, so we could still get 10th, you never know, but this weekend is key.

          SO GO SEE IT.

Also key will be how big the DVD is when it comes out, I know it's mroe expensive but buying it sooner than later all helps towards a sequel.
