This avian influenza thingy is really concerning eveyone... i mean if they get the thing out of control MILLIONS of people might die in a very fast and painfull way -_- and it threatens all world not just any 3rd world country as it is usual with this type of diseases, i hope it that avian influenza doesn't make more vicitms.A kiss is a rosy dot over the 'i' of loving.

A 25 year old person is not under prime risk factors for dying from the flu because he would have a strong immune system and have optimum chance for recovery.
The at-risk age groups are probably going to be similar to SARS and the regular flu---the really old, the really young, and the really poor. However, China tends to skew their statistics, so it creates an additional challenge when interpreting their gov't released data.
The more pressing concern is how this strain evolved to where it has such potential for deadly human transmission. Are we, as a global society, doing anything that contributes to a more deadly strain? Is there a way we can prevent these types of outbreaks by changing how we raise, process, and handle birds?

I believe that the avian flu is alot of mutations away from actually being able to infect humans efficiently. You must remember that the people who get infected with the virus delt with the birds everyday for 10 hours at time. It's being over exaggerated.
