What did the 90's mean to you?

I remember that one summer.. '94 or '95, I guess it was.. when pogs were the shit. Then in 3 months' time people had completely forgotten them. Ah, the days of being captivated by small, round pieces of cardboard with pictures on them.

Better decade than now, still hell on earth though, much better music, kind of a bit of a lighter vibe, no war on terrorism, the difference between the 90s and 80s much larger than the difference between the 90s and now, this decade sort of like an extension of the 90s, only worse. difference between 1988 and 1992 much larger than even the difference betwen 95 and 05. 90s being the first decade with this new modern like feel we have in society. 1990/1991 was not the last change, but the last very major change in music, hair, makeup, clothes, pseudo-cultures, even the body's of cars, etc etc

well I was 3/4 in 1990 so my memory isnt that great about the first half. the earliest memory I have is of watching a news report on tv about ronald regan, but I think thats was in '89 though.

-city school in the first half of the 90's (90-95)
-playing the old school gameboy on the playground at the city school
-playing soccer in first grade and going to the wrong goal.
-my dad and his friends drinking in the kitchen every night with me sitting there with them
-using casset tapes instead of cd's and film camera's instead of digital camera's
-that song that goes "I've got the power!"

-TMNT & Power rangers

Alright, I'm awake and wonderful so I have more to add to the list

- basically all of Ratty's, including Spice Girls. I loved them, my favorites were Baby and Sporty Spice I think, even though Baby's stripper shoes made her break/twist her ankles on more than one occasion

- Christmas classic movies on television

- Clarissa Explains it All (+ all other old television shows, like Ren & Stimpy or something and the Angry Beavers and the old All That)

- cassette tapes and the pain of manual fast-forwarding, etc

- elementary school

- the macarena

- Samurai Pizza Cats

- peanut butter and jelly (which was fucking nasty)

- lunchboxes

- N'Sync

- The Very Hungry Caterpillar

- like panda said, Beanie Babies

- basically my whole childhood

Saved by the Bell is on TBS every morning at 6:00 and 6:30 AM. I usually watch it half-concentrating after my shower, it's like a part of the morning routine for me
