  • Ever have your wisdom teeth out?

How was it? Did it hurt? What was it like after the surgery do you lose lots of weight?

I'm going to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out winterbreak (not too long form now) and I'm just wondering.

i had to have mine extracted surgically, they gave me some kick ass pain med i dont remember much for 5 days lmao its called Mepergan Fortis i guess its the equivalent to Demerol but if you're having a dentist do it for you youll be lucky to NOT get vicodin or codeine, you need an oral surgeon if you dont want pain aftwards

Yeah i'm going to an oral surgeon and he recommends that I receive this sedative that knocks me out for the entire duration of the procedure.

ill have mine removed to, my normal teeth grow like vertically and my wisdom teeth grow the other way, those retarded bastards. the xray picture looks pretty scary __|||||||__ if they grow any further they will dig out my other teeth.

Wisdom teeth are the teeth at the very back. They're the last teeth you grow and most people have them pulled. I don't know exactly why they have them pulled though.

It depends how impacted they are.

I had 2 pulled in 5 minutes and I was eating in a few hours. The doc thought I might need minor surgery to cut them out but I didn't need it. It was easy.

                      Not all are of course.

Depends on if they're impacted or not. Also depends on which part of your mouth they are on (top or bottom).

You're lucky to be taking care of all this at once. I wish I had all mine out. I never had the right time to get em out, and every 6-8 months, I get really bad headaches from them shifting positions in my mouth and moving all my other teeth around.

I wish I had dental insurance.

I had all four of mine taken out last december. the surgery went pretty well, i was all trippy on the laughing gas and was laughing during the surgery. the pain killers they put in my gums worked well too. the only times its a bitch is the day after. make sure you put the gauze in your mouth and replace it regularly. since your face is numb, you might not notice that blood is spilling out of your mouth (which happened to me), so you might want to check your face once in a while. it gets a little bit painfull the day after, and it takes about 2-5 days before you can eat solid food without problems

its an annoyance, but not horrible. the doc gave me a shot, and literally the next thing i knew was i was on my living room couch. i had no recollection of the surgery or the trip back home. kind of like how i have no recollection of a lot of shit that happened last night.

the meds are highly overrated. you dont really even need to take the pain meds they'll give you, and i took them for a bit, and i think it threw off my internal clock. i had insomnia for a week or two after.
