Peeling an orange

Take an orange, take a knife, cut off the top, cut off the bottom, use knife to make several (5-8) incisions on the side, peel right off.

Well this has been a serious problem dating back to our forefathers, but i have found a way to counter the oranges defense mechanism of unpeelability. I have done some research, and have discovered that, though not identical in taste, the clementine, and even the tangerine (cousin of the enemy) peel with relative ease. If used with the proper peel, one may retrieve the peel of the fruit in one peace.

i already have several of them next to my screen.. the problem is that you have to go get the orange.

My only problem is when you dig your thumbnail into the orange and it spits in your eye, or onto your trousers/jeans.

Or when you buy pipless oranges and it turns out there's pips in, so you're stood over the bin while you're eating the orange because you have to spit out a pip every 20 seconds.

I just sort of shred the skin apart with my fingernails. Usually, I can get off the skin if three or four chunks.

Get a thick peeled one, and a paring knife, then just run around the edges until you can get your fingers under the peel. Takes some skill but it's the quickest way, with the least squirting.

Apparentally that stuff is flamable, so hold a lighter up to it next time you're making it mist.
and whats the deal with these hidden 'f' 's I see them at least twice a day and I've never found any reason for them
