I usually buy mandarins or satsumas (at least they go by those names in Finland and Google concurs) which both have much thinner peel and the taste is a bit better too.

I hate peeling and orange.

i cut it in 8 parts usually and eat it like a melon. no "ucky stuff" involved

I know that orange peels, are edible so when I find peeling oranges with my hand hards I just start eating parts of the peel untill I can pry open the peel with my hands.

thats kinda sick. that taste is the only thing that keeps me from eating oranges all the time, in the off chance it sprays some into the air and I breathe it in. oh how I loath that taste.
