I was watching another movie with my wife over the weekend... I think it was North Country, not quite sure, it was some movie that came out recently... and that preview came up, it looked pretty badass, but I've decided not to see it. The thing that detered me is that after everyone stopped laughing at the ridiculousness of the hoo-rah coming from Jamie Foxx's mouth, an intellectually challenged young lady repeated it, THE WHOLE ENTIRE REST OF THE MOVIE. And it wasn't even once or twice, or fifteen times, it was at the most ridiculous times.

Example, the main character of the movie in North Country is being raped when she was a little girl, it's emotionally tearing, the whole female race in the movie theater is either gasping or crying, it's really quite hard to watch (even though they don't show actual pornography. Then at the end of the scene, what do we hear? "Hoo-Rah," after which, I believe people were yelling death threats at this poor mentally handicapped girl.

So thank you Jamie Foxx for your wonderful use of extremely catchy verbage that not only ruined your movie from being seen by any of the people in that movie theater, but the movie I had originally came to watch.

Was she actually mentally handicapped or was she just a teenager?

      There isn't much difference really.

I wasn't sure if it was about the Gulf War or the Iraq War, but my statement holds true to me regardless. I'm not saying either war was right or wrong, I just like movies that question the validity of war (or the decision to go to war) in general. The US just happens to be the country making a lot of those decisions in my lifetime. I guess I'm just one of those people that hates the way the world is, but the furthest I'll go to improve it is rant on online forums.... I think that is a common trait in today's educated youth.

                      This is getting mediocre reviews.

I thought it was HUA, an acronymn for Heard Understood Acknowledged. Meaning..."Yes, I heard you."

i went to see it last night, it was pretty good.

i think the problem is u go in expecting a war movie but it isn't. it's still a very good film tho, illustrates the point that even if u don't engage in combat the experience still affects you for life.
