When was the first time you saw a "ghost"???

got bored and decided to make my 2nd thread over 3 years of playing ss...
when was the first time you saw a ghost or hallucination of something???
my first experience was when my family and i had just moved into a new house, which we dont live in now but no because of the ghost i saw, and my step brother who is the same age as me had his own room down in the basement..so anywase i went looking for em and thought he'd be in his room in the basement. opened the door and saw a shadow which i thought was my step brother's shadow and it ran and hid behind a dresser. at first i thought it was my step brother trying to hide and scare me but then i thought and knew that he wasnt that kind of person, to hide and scare u...i went over and checked behind the dresser just incase if it was him and i saw nothing. so then i took off and ran upstairs and forgot what i did after that. so ya not that scary but that was the only experience or w/e with a ghost and i have family members including my siblings that have seen worst or things happened to them...

O and has anybody ever woken up in the middle of the night or a nap and ur body just froze and u cant speak or anything and it feels like somethig his holding u down? never happened to me but some of my family members it has...

When I was a kid, I used to sleep with my closet door open. One night, I woke up and happened to look at the closet and I saw an outline of a person, just standing there. Scared the SHEE-IT out of me. Damn creepy too. I must have yelled pretty loud because my parents came in a few seconds later and I was all huddled into the corner staring at the closet. Mom reminded me about it a few weeks ago for some reason.
That was the only instance that I can remember where I've ever completely flipped out at something I've seen. Just thinking about it makes me get all creeped out. It was seriously like someone was looking at me while standing in my closet. Couldn't see the face, but the silhouette was lit up a bit from the moonlight, so I do think something was there. Probably just my imagination acting up on me, but I've never really seen anything quite like it again.

I don't anymore, partially because it's full of crap that was in my room when I moved back into it for the summer. Plus I'm not actually living at home, and my closet door doesnt open all the way because my room is small and the bed only lets the door open 2/3 of the way.
I dont know why I left my closet door open back then, unless I open it, I don't make a point to close it, but sometimes I just close doors when I open them...... meh.

i've had mild sleep paralysis which is what you described. My sister used to get it really bad. It feels like something is on your chest or got you by the neck becuase your breathing is still in its sleep rate and you feel like you should be taking bigger breaths but cant so you imagine a pressure on your chest or neck as a reason.

She was convinced it was evil spirits or something but when i got it i kinda panicked at first becuase i was still kind of dreaming and i felt like there was someone in the room about to stab me but i couldn't move or even call for help. My eyes were open but i was facing a wall so thats all i could see, i thought i heard someone behind me geting out a knife from my desk and walk over about to stab me.But then i didn't get stabbed and i remembered the program i saw on sleep paralysis and i managed to calm down and went back to sleep. (btw i don't have a knife in my desk i imagined that)

I've had it a few times since but know i know what it is its not as bad. It's still not a nice experience though.


I don't believe in ghosts though, or evil spirits for that matter.

as far as the sleep thing thats happened to your relatives, similar things have happened to me in dreams, but never while i was awake (id imagine thats the case for them as well, but who knows i guess). a few times ive been in some sort of urgent situation in a dream, and i start to fall asleep, like, while im running away or whatever, and i cant stop from falling into a deep sleep in the dream, and i start to panic, and then immediately when everything turns to black in the dream, i wake up in real life.

My house is over 100 years old, so I've had a few small experiences. I've never actually seen it, but it has done things. Once, it was about 9PM, and I was in my bedroom reading before I was going to sleep. I had on the light next to my bed, which is fairly bright, but that was all. Then I heard this click, and couldn't figure out was it was. I was looking around my room and didn't see anything. Then, I lookup up and saw that the Christmas lights I have strung around my bed were on. The click was the lightswitch turning them on. The freaky part about this is the fact that they hadn't worked in weeks. So I was a bit scared, because my door was closed and my family was either asleep already or downstairs. So I did the only logical thing, cower under the covers. And of course, I heard footsteps pacing my room, and slowly coming closer to my bed. I also heard some heavy breathing. Verrrrry freaky.

A few other things like that have happened as well. We have a gas stove, and another time when I was home alone it magically got turned on. Well, the gas was leaking out but there wasn't a flame. Luckily I saw it after a few minutes. Sometimes lamps get knocked down or turned on. TVs turn on by themselves. Just little things like that. No one has seen it yet, to the best of my knowledge.

We have one, no worries. It was just a few rooms away, so the gas hadn't wafted over there yet. I was lucky enough to walk through the kitchen, and I heard the sound of the gas escaping. The dumb ghost is trying to kill me
