I really don't want to come across as anti-American because I'm not, but I'd like to say a few things from as logical stand point as I can. Based on what you said it sounds like you believe founding a country based on war is a good thing? I think it would be better to remember the specific reasons for that war and focus on them, instead of simply focusing on mankinds worst creation (war). You are correct that Tone's freedom to say what he believes is a direct result of your country asserting it's independence and bestowing very important freedoms to ALL its people. Your country was built on the idea that every person is created equal and has the same rights, yet it seems that you disagree with that? Your country was created when people stood up and objected to what they felt was unjust treatment. Isn't that exactly what a lot of people are doing now by questioning the Bush administration? A country full of people that don't question their government and just "shut the fuck up and know when its time to take orders" certainly isn't a Democracy.

Lots of Americans are dieing. So if there is even a 0.1% chance that they are dieing for something other than your country's safety and security, shouldn't everything be done to ensure you know for certain? Blind faith in government and in religion has been responsible for some of the greatest atrocities in history.

If the measure of a man is his ability to kill other men without hesitation because he was told to do it by someone else, then I want no part of being one. One biased observation I will make is that the United States is no longer the country it was meant to be. It takes the worst aspects of capitalism, socialism, facism and even something from a dictatorship and tries to sell it as the best thing on the planet. A country with spiraling values, a culture focused on violence (for or against it) and one that has a whole lot in common with the aristocracy it originally overthrew.
