Thank god I have siblings who've bought for my parents/aunts/uncles and I only have to buy for my siblings now. But I still don't really know what to get them yet, probably music for my sister and a scarf or something and movies for my brother. I think I'm going Tuesday because I have a huge test to study for tomorow as well as an audition I may or may not go to. I'm going to burn my friend all the Beatles' Christmas Albums and hopefully find a Beatles Record to give to him.
Then there's Christmas shopping for me. Honestly I think this Christmas will be good presents wise, just because I don't have anything huge on my list. So I'll probably get a whole bunch of small gifts which will be a lot better. I think I'm getting a sweater vest and a bow tie as part of my gifts. Also since my birthday is on Boxing Day I'm planning to buy an iPod video or som't with the 600 some dollars I have saved up plus the other money which I'll get over the holidays.
Then there's stockings. I'm the youngest person in my family at age 16, 17 on the 26th, and we still do stockings. We usually watch a Christmas Story and do stuff like that until it's time to eat supper at about 9 pm or so, open presents after midnight and go to sleep. Then we wake up, and open stockings. Christmas would be a lot more dissapointing without stockings. It adds so much more... mystery... or som't like that. Then we usually saunter over to my Dad's house at about 1 or 2 (the delights of having divorced parents) and wait for all the Uncles and Aunts to come, then we open our stockings which usually have lottery scratch cards, oranges, magazines n' the like. Then the presents. Then dinner and then back to my Ma's house.
Christmas ornaments. I know it may sound weird but it's one of my favorite parts of Christmas. All the home made ornaments that we have really set the tone for all of December. There's my sister's pretzel ornament where she ate one or two on the way home. My brother's snowflake with a poem that goes as such:
I Like Snow
I like snow.
Snow on trees.
Snow on fires.
Snow on kids.
Snow on me.
It's stuff like that that puts me in the mood for Christmas.
I forgot to say about the opening of the presents, I usually put all of my clothing related presents on as I receive them. I like it and I think other people are content that I enjoy their presents that much.
So how's Christmas with YOU?
