I don't support the meat industry, but it's impossible for me to become vegetarian, sorry
To add onto what Sirius said about household plants, you also don't want to forget about harmful pesticides that are thrown over tons of crops each year. Sure it's gotten better as the years go on (the harmful ones are narrowed down and not used), but some still affect how long it takes a seed to germinate and grow, and exactly how healthy the plants grow up.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

And the harmful stuff hurts the animals living of those plants too!

Just becuase the rice in a rice field doesnt have a little squeeling voice doesnt mean its not being hacked down by fuking 100 asians.

Moral, vegetarians are just hypocrits. Wann eat food with out anything else suffering? Go eat some sand.
That little squealling voice is exacly that... animals pass their entire life in suffer, the animals that you eat live a tortured existence just to end up in your plate, and the worst thing about it is that while you seem to recognise that you just don't give a damn...
And who are you to talk about hypocrisy?!? someone who doesn't even do the minimal effort in reducing the huge barbarity that has become the animal industry shouldn't be talking about hipocrisy in the first place.
You say that plants don't squeal... maybe it's because they don't feel things the same way as a cow or a chicken feel... last time i checked animals use a brain and plants don't... "no don't bring the argument that plants can also feel their surroundings... everyone knows that but they still don't feel it the same way as an animal."
So it all goes down to the way animals are treated, but no. Besides that there is also the health factor, animal meat is becoming less healthy with passing time, all due to the growing supplements they place in animal beverage and food... some even speculate genetic alterations "lol @ wingless KFC chickens wich i don't believe they exist".
There are always several options, you could buy some healtheir and more environment friendly food that has not been grown up with the aid of synthetical products and hormones and where chickens are raised in more "civilised and painless" conditions, the same thing applies to biological agriculture.
So next time please don't talk about hipocrisy and instead try to do somethig about what you eat, chickens will thank you for that and i think you might even become more healthy in body AND mind...

Saying a plant does not have conscience is just totatally closed minded and 1 dimensonal. Everything on this planet, that survives, breeds, eats, sleeps and grows had some form of soul, its just not always apparently obvious at first view.
And then dont give me the crap about sudden death, as thats just completely untrue.
