He delivers jokes that way, because if he did it any differently, it would be hard to sense the sarcasm, and the constant joke of "are these politicians seriously saying something this stupid?" The reason he sounds so smug and arrogant is because if it were different, it would sound partisaned. Instead, his witty, and cynical nature allows him to take pot shots at everyone.

I am currently ashamed of my country. Not because Conan tells bad jokes about us or because our president looks a bit like Conan, but because of the episode of Conan that aired here last night. There was a video invitation from the city of Turku, and after watching it I was more than speechless. It was probably the most retarded thing that has ever been shown in tv.

Too liberal for me, WAAAY too liberal. Plus, I don't find him all that funny. His 'reporters' are the funny ones, and two of the original ones have left already.

Exactly, he would adapt. His jokes aren't really liberal, they're mostly just cynical. He points out the funny parts of both sides.

i have to agree with zeus, i really dont like stewart on the daily show. i preferred kilborn, and although colbert report isnt the greatest show in the world, i find myself watching it when i still will almost never stop on the daily show.

Colbert is a lot funnier than Stewart in my opinion. Colbert's interviews are so great, he's just so incredibly sharp. He's one of those guys that you can ask him a question and no hesitation at all he's got a great response. Conan is also very clever, but after his show was on a few years he's kind of in a routine.

I saw Stewart live once about a year before the Daily Show really got as huge as it is today and I've never been that big of a fan of him ever since. It wasn't very original at all. He's good, but eh not one of my favorites.

He sounds Liberal, but it really depends on the situation. During the Democratic National Convention they made fun of Democrats for around 10 straight episodes.

Jon Stewart is a funny guy. Though the reporters are quite good, it would be nothing without him.

And in fact, most recently I remember them poking fun at Prosecuter Fitzpatrick for his baseball analogy. I mean, here's the guy that many Dems were rooting to bring down the whole system, and Stewart spent like 5 days making fun of the guy. They take pot shots at everyone, much like South Park does, and if that makes them liberal, then yes, they are liberal.
