Aren't the people that are trying to impose sanctions on the idiots developing nukes, already possessing nukes? I'm all for the west and everything - I'm from the west - but when one country possesses nuclear capabilities and then refers another country to the UN naughty-board for attempting to develop their own nuclear weapons, isn't that a bit hypocritical?

1) No one's deity forces them to do anything in particular. I have not yet heard of any serious cases of deities forcing their worshippers to do things. If you come across such a case of worshippers being forced to do things by God, tell me so I can consider renoucing atheism on the basis of irrefutable evidence of existence of God.

It isn't the religion that teaches them to commit suicide and blow up everyone else, it's the higher leaders of today. For the people of those specific countries, they aren't fighting just to harm others, they're fighting because for them, this is a religious war. War itself isn't okay, but according to the Coran, a religious one is.

Now you're asking why would they attack us? Simple. Over the course of many years, us christians have imposed our way of life, our set of politics, etc. (it was us who forced them to create different countries) They just don't want anything to do with it. Why should the world be like us? Yes, Christianity of today is much better, but only because we've learned from our mistakes. We've been through hundreds of wars and have made a lot of changes since. (we fought against ourselves, stopped the Islam spread towards Europe, attempted to convert all Hindus, etc.) The difference with the way the muslims do war is by commiting suicide, because they don't have extremely huge and powerful weapons (note: Attack on Iraq which didn't have nuclear weapons).

Furthermore, this "chanting" you hear is part of ceremonies of their religion. Islam converts people too, just like Christianity does. Which is why white people will be seen also. In the middle-East, they believe that Religion is an entire part of life and not a weekend-thing that you go to when you want. Also, depicting symbols, pictures or representing people or Allah (God) isn't allowed, which is why they were angry at the newspaper comics.

As for the nuclear weapons, I'm entirely with ZeUs!!

Although the IRA are mostly Catholic they aren't a religious organisation nor is there goal a religious one but it is political, to get a united independant Ireland.
