If you can set up a double-blind experiment that points to prayer working better than a placebo and others can repeat your experiment and duplicate the results, then you have some evidence that backs up your statement. Until then, you're relying on faith. Please don't confuse faith with fact.

Face, I treat other people how I want to be treated. For instance, I saw a guy stuck in the snow with his car. I jumped out shoveled him out and then pushed him so he could get going. I did this cause I know how it feels to be in that situation, and to need help. And Would hope he'd pass that on to somebody else if the situation arose. Not to self please myself, or to make me happier. Just common fucking sense.

OK, replace "blind" with "unaware". The person being prayed for must not know that there is someone praying for him, since then there could be psychological effects. However, that would be single blind test. So who is the other person who is unaware?

I was making a joke, but since you're interested, I'll try to explain. Unfortunately, it's been a few years since I read the article, so I'm really hazy on the details. Anyway, in this experiment there are three (and, if I remember correctly, this actually was a triple blind experiment) participants who could be 'blind'.

1. As you mentioned, the patient.
2. The doctor seeing the patient
3. Potentially, the person praying could be in some way blind. But I don't remember how.

I'm looking for the article, but my library's article search is retarded sometimes.
