Is it wrong to date your friend's sister?

I feel like that it is wrong, but the idea is getting the best of me. I've known him for about 2 years now and he's one of my best friends here at Penn State. I've known her for the same amount of time. They're twins.

Suggestions please.

I've had one friend date a sister of another of my friends. It was weird and ultimately didn't work out, but I think it's a possibility. The thing that complicates it (as I'm sure you're aware) is that you have the possibility of screwing up the relationship you have with your friend should things go bad with his sister. I don't know if I'd ever do it, specifically for that fact, but hell, it might work for someone.

It's not wrong. The worst possible scene would of course be you or she screwing it up and being with your friend would become awkward.

This relates to a lot of different situations, like dating someone from your group of friends -> if it doesn't work, seeing the other friends could become difficult as he/she will be there too. The risks are there, but is it better to not take them?

Well duh.. if they were identical, they'd be both the same sex (unless your friend is a girl of course which would make for awesome threesomes).


I don't see anything wrong with dating a friend's sister... just don't screw up your friendship if you ever break up with her.

Back when I was in highschool, one of my friends (17 years old) dated another one of my friend's younger sister (14 years old). It was quite awkward for everyone except my friend the older brother, he didn't seem to care that much. It didn't work out ( big surprise) and it always makes for a good laugh.

Moral of the story- Don't date 14 year olds. Even if you're 14, go for 16 year olds. If you're 17..... -_-
