I learned how to make a payphone ring by itself without needing money or someone else calling the phone.

I'm not sure if it works with all pay phones, but it does on my first floor pay phone.

1. Pick up phone
2. Dial 5-5-0-#### (The last four numbers of the pay phone's number).
3. Listen for a dial tone. When you hear the tone,
4. Hang up the phone 3 times, and then leave it hung on the 3rd time.
5. ring ring ring

It will just keep ringing until someone picks it up, I think.

No, I was just waiting downstairs in the lobby and the phone was ringing, and I picked it up... Then my friend showed me how.

Uh, just after hearing the tone, put the receiver on the hook then lift it up then hang up then lift it up then hang up...etc.
