Interesting article online in regards to this subject. Give it a read...nothing was suprising to me.
This is the American President who said: "it would be much easier if this was a dictatorship, as long as I get to be the dictator."

Israel Warns U.N. of World War by Axis of Terror
Things keep getting more interesting...
Dan Gillerman, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, warned the world body this week that Iran, Syria and the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority (PA) are forming an "an axis of terror" which could spark a world war.
The trio's statements defending Tuesday's suicide bombing in Tel Aviv "are clear declarations of war, and I urge each and every one of you to listen carefully and take them at face value," said Gillerman
The PA observer at the U.N. condemned the bombing but attacked Israel for stating that its military reaction is a response to Arab violence. Instead, Riyad Mansour denounced Israel for "willful killing and injury of civilians."

Holy crap this guy is nuts. The Iranian President would be put in a loony bin if he was in any other country.
In a videotaped meeting with Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli in Tehran, Ahmadinejad discussed candidly a strange, paranormal experience he had while addressing the United Nations in New York last September.
He recounts how he found himself bathed in light throughout the speech. But this wasn't the light directed at the podium by the U.N. and television cameras. It was, he said, a light from heaven. The Iranian president recalled being told about it by one of his delegation: "When you began with the words ‘in the name of Allah,' I saw a light coming, surrounding you and protecting you to the end."
Ahmadinejad agreed that he sensed the same thing.
"On the last day when I was speaking, one of our group told me that when I started to say 'Bismillah Muhammad,' he saw a green light come from around me, and I was placed inside this aura," he says. "I felt it myself. I felt that the atmosphere suddenly changed, and for those 27 or 28 minutes, all the leaders of the world did not blink. When I say they didn't move an eyelid, I'm not exaggerating. They were looking as if a hand was holding them there, and had just opened their eyes – Alhamdulillah!"
Ahmadinejad's "vision" at the U.N. is strangely reminiscent and alarmingly similar to statements he has made about his personal role in ushering in the return of the Shiite Muslim messiah.
He sees his main mission, as he recounted in a Nov. 16 speech in Tehran, as to "pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance."Last edited by Jonesy; 04-27-2006, 05:43 PM.

how can you not trust this man with your life?
re: 404's article...I would like to believe that everything in that article is true, but I find it hard to put much stock in an article that quotes someone who says Bush tortured cats, but doesn't reference his source. And for this same guy to say he is probably drinking again is irresponsible, as well. I mean---he probably is, but for the writer to publish that crap is a far cry from the ethical standards used by quality journalists. So what is opEd news?

The release of such information is interesting... so much for things being kept 'secret' when it comes to attacking the enemy

But now we're talking about it; didnt Iran show off his 'muscles' a few days ago with State-of-the-Art weapons etcetera; especially targetted to scare the U.S of A.?
I think this(in the article) is a reaction showing that U.S.A. isn't scared of Iran either and they might be trying to show that they are way stronger than Iran.
So I think this report came out on purpose.
Edit: Earlier to prevent a war then to go at war; America is too busy in Afghanistan and Irak atmLast edited by Clichy; 05-10-2006, 02:10 PM.

On a European and a Finnish point-of-view, I can assure you the US is not winning any popularity prizes with their Middle Eastern campaign, from the Gulf War to this day with Afghanistan, Iraq and nor perhaps Iran. Most of the people that I've talked to who pay interest to the US are baffled by the administration and almost furious because of it's actions.
I daresay the general view over here is that USA is very bad indeed and should be stopped. If the current situation keeps building up from now I wouldn't be surprised if people in Finland or Europe would be willing to become very anti-USA indeed, to the point of violence.jee

China and Russia will not put sanctions or goto war with Iran because they're too blinded by economics and see nothing but political posturing and economic interest of NATO the main focus in putting sanctions or using military options on Iran. Both need to get their heads out of the sand, Weapons grade material was found in one of Iran's facilities this month, they're not interested in civil energy, why would they? Nuclear power is not very efficent and they're one of the biggest oil producing states.. it doesn't even make sense. I don't want to see another war in the middle east but Iran has to see an united front from the world or else we'll have another huge war or worse, Iran or some Muslim group with nuclear weapons while we're sifting through IAEA reports and debate.
The US needs to work with its allies here, unilateral actions or subverting the UN right now would be the biggest mistake the Cheif-Drunk could make. The US Congress and Senate doesn't have the power or the will to stop anything like it either, they have given up trying to solve real problems due to an election year, Net Neutrality, Immigration, Health Care, Social Secuity, electoral reform ect.. will probably be put off till 2010 or later while efforts are put into making Flag Burning and Gay Marriage indictable offense.

In regards to Afghanastan....perhaps the Taliban should have been left in power. There was no Heroin or Hash exports and the world market on these drugs was at such a low, Heroin Junkies could have become a thing of the past? Since the US evicted the Taliban, Heroin is on the streets bigger and more abundant than ever! So much for the Anti Drug campain the States had blown monies on for decades.
What would the world be like if the worlds #1 Heorin exporter was shut down? WHat would the junkies of the world done?
Well we all do not have that worry, as the US now allows Afghanastan to export as much as they want to keep their economy stable, or so it would seem.May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.
