There is no easy way to go around this situation, you're always going to need gas (unless u drive 1 of those sissy cars) so just deal with it. I know its outrageous but you can't do anything about it.
My sissy cars are a 64 Porsche 356 & a 65 Land Rover Series IIA 88. I do not drive my 930 around all that much as it's in the shop getting a new paint job.

as far as people driving the SUV's...thats fine, but you said DRIVE....most people I see on the road cannot even handle driving these cars and are a menace on the road...thats whay I mentioned that they need to have a different classification on there drivers license.

I live in New Jersey, and i'm 18 years old and I smoke. And this law makes the legal age to BUY a pack of cigarettes 19 as well as banning it indoors.

Legally, in New Jersey, you can smoke at 15, but you can't buy a pack of cigarettes until your 18 (19 now, since it's 1 AM and the law goes in effect today.)

The thing that pisses me off the most is I can die in a war, vote for a president, acquire debt, and move out of the house, but I can't buy a pack of ciggarettes. It's bull shit, and I don't even get grandfathered.

Edit: The law is for ALL indoor establishments, aside from casinos. It doesn't ban smoking on sidewalks, and doesn't have an established distance from a building.

        That I'm dead
And decided to bury me ?
        God knows, I'm ready !"

What she said was not for the job or

        Oh ...
        No no no ...

Right now the price of gas is around 2.75 per gallon, which is STILL about 1/3 of what some of the european countries pay - but let's face it, being prodigal is what makes america, america. There won't be a way to satiate the growing demands for crude oil especially when we have developing countries (such as China) with economies that average 10% growth ever year. It's a marketer's dream, no doubt, but this kind of growth cannot be sustained and will undoubtedly increase gas prices for every other part of the world.

Additionally, we will see the end of unleaded gasoline in our lifetimes (IDK about diesel). Why do you think we're pushing for the flex fuel "Live green, go yellow" bullshit? We have an abundance of grains that are rotting away in silos, and America with it's plentiful grounds for growing corn and other crops from which we can derive ethanol - can very well lessen it's dependence on crude within the next several years.

In Sweden they put a stop to smoking inside bars, discoes etc. If you want to smoke, you have to sit in a small room where it is allowed or go outside. I hope they make a new law soon, so that it becomes forbidden everwhere. Whats the point of putting a burning, smelly stick in your mouth?

The casino workers will most likely have their union deal with the issue of smoking in casinos and have it dealt with - if it has been deemed unhealthy to smoke in public in the state then they are being forced to work in an unhealthy environment. Really ought to be upheld also

congratulations on owning 2 cars, hmm, does that seem like you're helping the enviornment? no, haha. The people that cant handle these cars are probably the same people that failed their g2 licence (in canada its a g2) a few times. They are probably just as horrible if they drove a volvo.

Hello, I am also an idiot that has zero understanding that people are ever different than me.

What do I like about life? I like homeowner's associations, so that I don't ever have to be offended with what other people do with their homes. I'm glad to pay fees and turn over to them blindly the ability to take away my home for any imagined offense. I like censorship because I never want to be offended. I mean, it's a right in the constitution that I get to live my whole useless fucking life, and never once get offended, isn't it? Gee Whiz, isn't it great when our government founded to evade undfair taxation, passes taxes for no reason other than to make citizens quit an activity that is unhealthy? I'm glad that my government treats me like a little kid. I don't deserve to be able to make my own choices anyway. I mean heaven forbid that it should ever be the owner of an establishment's choice. Can you just imagine what might happen if the business owners were free to establish policies for their own businesses? Chaos! Anarchy! Freedom! Fuck that noise, man. Who needs it?

I love being a fucking moron. It's just wonderful when I don't have to think about things as being choices, but just either "gross" or "good".

IT IS WONDERFUL THAT EVERYONE IS EXACTLY THE SAME.

Please don't ask me how I managed to type that shit out without choking some fucker to death, because I don't know the answer.

Smoking causes second-hand cancer in people who don't smoke, drives up healthcare costs for all in servicing smokers who die earlier and have much more health problems, and is generally extremely annoying and disgusting to all who don't smoke.

It should be banned in casinos too, but I guess they got an exemption because the state probably takes in a ton of taxes from it, and many of the patrons are out of state who would likely go somewhere else if they couldn't smoke there. That's my theory of why it's still allowed in casinos in NJ.

Uhm. So what you're saying is, the business owner shouldn't get any say in the matter at all? It should just be up to the government to decide, and you're ok with that?

Here's a radical idea.. let's think about this for a second.

The business owner gets to decide, and if he allows smoking, and you're bothered by it, you don't give him your business. I bet if that even happened enough, then.. he might ban smoking or make some kind of concession. It's awesome how that works when people are free to choose for themselves.

You know rather than having the government dictate it to you.

If it's a bar, or a restaurant, are you trying to make the case that you have nowhere else to go if there's smoking there? That you will die of hunger? That you have a right to be there? Jesus, how some people can't wrap their head around this is beyond me.

We're not talking about what annoys you. There's a freaking multitude of people in this equation, how can you be ok with dictating what's good for you is good for everybody?

It's not like I drive them both at the same time. The fact that I own them does not add to ecological problems. They get better mileage than most cars produced today and to top it off, I do not need to hook this up to a computer to analyze a problem. I have had these for years and will probably have them until I die of old age or whatever...so I am not adding to the mass production of leased cars on the street.

If I had to get a car and was faced with what is available today, I would at this time go for an old car (Karmann Ghia) that was simply a car...not a DVD player with MP3 add on's with on board GPS and heated seats not to mention the off road package with light guards and front/side deflectors so that when I drive over a tree or cut through the rain forest located in my city, I will be ready!

I obviously like cars and enjoy working on mine and maintaining them...I am also aware that many people just want nothing to do with this and would prefer someone else keep the car on the road. You could probably poll people nationwide and a large percentage would have no idea as to how to check the oil level or add oil, air pressure in the tires, how to change a windshield wiper blade...and so many more minor/trivial items. You can't even find a local service station to do simple work today...you need to go to the dealer in todays times, even after warranty, just to diagnose problems. The days of a local service station working on a car is coming to an end making way for convenience stores with gas pumps.

Am I helping...I think so as I did not just dispose of a car after a lease and have kept my cars alive for as long as it has been. In a disposable society, I did not dump my trash on someone else.
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

lol its been that way here for a while, as in the city claims to own the outdoor air. check it out in Ojai CA. you cant smoke OUTSIDE!!!!! i seriously got a 50$ ticket for it already, for smokin, while i was walking to the video store to spend money and help the citys economy. you can only smoke in your home or car here. yes im talking cigarettes
Ill-timed force will be ineffective; act with precision; timing is everything. Knowing where and when to strike is more important than strength; misapplied ability is disability. Unreasonable or undue force will defeat itself

A law like this is meant for the betterment of the people that the law is representing. Health being the main concern!

The point of this being that it would seem that health is important to everyone except if you go to a casino, then it's ok. That's pure BS.

A law like this should represent everyone in that state and not hold exemptions based solely upon the fact that a casino can dictate the way the law is written. It's a lobbyists dream come true in its passing.

If I am not mistaken, you are not allowed to smoke while driving. This may have been dropped from the bill prior to law, but they wanted to fine you if caught while smoking too.

Growing up in this area, I actually prefered Atlantic City prior to the casinos than todays presence of them. What once was a family vacation spot is now a crime and trash ridden city..fun at night for the gambling atmosphere, but for a family or any kid thats on vacation there, it holds very very little attraction as back in the day. It's great for gamblers....but it is no way a Tahoe, Reno or Las Vegas.
