    Movies that make you go.....sigh :(

    So, I just finished watching Requim for a Dream, and I feel utterly hopeless.

    Then, I got to thinking about other films that leave you feeling depressed.

    Oldboy
    Schindler's List
    Once Were Soldiers
    Elephant
    Elephant Man
    Kairo
    Suicide Circle

    Anyways, that's sort of an excerpt. What are some other movies that leave you drained at the end?

      The deer hunter was kinda depressing, it's probably the movie that really got me to notice how horrible war is. Saving private ryan etc. were just entertainers compared to that.

          Those and Oldboy are the only ones I can remember being like " ...damn :turned: ", after a movie.
          My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

                  Great movie, but I just can't imagine why people that supposedly love each other so much would want to cause so much hurt to one another.... made me feel absolutely gross after watching that movie.


                  Munich is another recent one that really got me when I watched it. Not a tear jerker, but just very difficult to watch at times... and the end GAH, there was no release of stress the whole movie. It reminded me of how I feel when I watch mob movies, there's never a safe moment for anyone on screen.

                          Yea that's it.. that one made me feel weird after I watched it, almost sick.. donno if I ate bad food before watching it, but I felt really weird and kinda down after seeing it.
