Vista poses no threat to the current OS', if anything, I doubt it will be super popular.

It will be once microsoft realeases another "IE update" :P and suddenly XP sucks. quick everyone time to buy Vista.

If that's the case, then that's exactly what I mean about less intuitive.

Intuitive means that it's easy for the new user to figure out all the options without having to read the entire help file. It was easy to figure out how to customize FF without having to search through message boards to figure out the options.

I mean, why bother studying the interface details of a new browser when I am more than happy with FF?

I'm not going to upgrade until I have to.

I don't know why, maybe it's just general stubbornness, but I can't stand flashy interfaces, if it aint broke, don't fix it. I use XP with everything set to classic: No funky start menu, no "common tasks" in folder view etc etc... I don't really want to either have to go through the fuss of "classicising" Vista, or having to get used to the new "ooo shiny" interface.

Sure I'm all for whatever security improvements Vista brings, or new newtork architecture or whatever, but until these outweigh the downside of the interface, I'm not gonna upgrade.

Meh. Everyone was saying stuff about windows (the main purpose of this thread) and mac (tangent) so I threw in some Linux.

Is it odd that I'm still using it? I originally was going to boot into it just for the screenshot but now it's growing on me...
