How does he rate in the UK?

I saw him the other evening on TV (Conan) and had to get tik's yesterday for his show in NY. Was in tears almost crackin' up at him.

Hope his show is as good as his TV spot was.

LOL...I can understand that from what I had seen and heard. I personally have a thing for quoting Duckman.

I judged him on his TV shows he used to appear in, I really couldn't stand him, he used to be in terrible programmes

But his stand-up is first class, a few of them were repeated here a few days ago, I love his physical comedy, its likes hes on amphetamines

His performance on Conan was a bit spotty. He messed up one joke and the audience didn't really seem to "get" him until he found his groove halfway through his set. I've seen better performances from him though.

I saw him on Conan too, I thought he was pretty good.

I've seen him on Just For Laughs, and a few comedy specials. I love how he seems to have endless energy. It takes an artist to be a good comedian, and he is. Your so distracted by his antics, that you often don't see the punchline coming.

As for his comedy routine; it's ok. As Peanuts said, there was a show on TV a few days back, I liked it at first but I found the second half a little boring.

if your looking for a funny Englishman, i much prefer Jasper Carrot
i love his stand up and he also had a great show "The Detectives"

i like jimmy carr
his stand up show isn't that good however

its like a steam roller of puns and one liners , which are reasonable funny but not that engaging and get tiresome.

i much prefer longer story jokes if your going to watch stand up. But as a presenter his one liners work quite well in my opinion.

I listen to Jimmy Carr every Sunday morning on Xfm, its brainachingly funny. Despite appearances he's just a normal bloke, and he's got his best-mate as the other DJ, and its just like hearing two people chat but with his one-liners in there. Usual topics of conversation include Glaswegian tramps ("I CANNE BE RACIST COS I LIKE FISH"), hinting that the drive-time DJ at the station is gay without ever saying it (lead singer of Editors: "I've got some spaghetti and mussels for dinner tonight, I quite like mussels", Jimmy Carr: "yeah, Lucio likes muscles too"), and OCD - of which the co-presenter has a severe case of. Unfortunately they've got the day off next Sunday
