Interesting article. I do have a problem with the author using the word coward a lot since both sets of my grandparents were German and fought in the war. I think the logic behind the accusations is sound because governments and leaders throughout history have used fear to manipulate their citizens. Do I believe what he says about Bush and the American government? Well I think it's possible, but not probable. Bush is the kind of man who could pull this off though. From what I have read about him, the man is strong willed, very intelligent and as Jon Stewart put it "the decider". I couldn't believe this at first, but it kinda makes sense that Bush's gaffs are either planned or they are just the Texan in him. A Bush cabinent meeting usually goes something like this: gather everyone up, tell them what you are going to do, accept all the positive backing. His inner circle is made up of people who do nothing but agree with him (this was a conscious decision by Bush) so of course there arn't any Plan B's for Iraq or strategies to quell the hemmoraging of government spending.

You have to admit however, that Bush and even Hitler deserve a lot of respect for bending the world to their will... no matter how horrible the result.

not so sure about the site's cred, it's just stuff that i've heard before from many places. the gist of it, in my view, is that the german people did not follow hitler willingly at all, and he did not 'look good' to the german people.

it has often been noted that the german people "followed" Hitler in the state of 'loyal reluctance'- reluctant to do so but did anyway, showing that people were often indifferent to the regime. workers and peasants were primarily interested in day to day economic issues. they did not "imagine themselves to be brave"

hitler ruled with fear and so do the people who are controlling bush - 9/11 was their dream come through. The first time I saw about it on the news I instantly started thinking the ways every superpower has created their own justifications for all the wars they have started and I started wondering "lol I wonder who have they been planning to attack this time". Next thing that seemed odd was the following campaign of assumed terrorist activities. The disiased "terrorist" letters? How did they just happen to stop like that? Where's the source? After you get the wars started getting the terror is a lot easier - Just bully on enough people and someone ought to do it. Russians and chinese have been pulling stuff like this with good results for the whole last century - western public just has a more objective view about their matters thus making it more visible for us. You might ask, how do they justify these horrible things to themselves. How can someone justify taking out a city with a nuclear bomb?
