Well first off I don't live in Sunbury - that was the closest town I could find on Wikipedia. I work in New Albany which is about 10 minutes away from my house. New Albany was founded by Les Wexner - the guy who started Victoria's Secret, the Limited, Bath and Body Works, all that jazz. So the entire community is rich, snobby, and Jewish. We have an entire aisle in the store dedicated to kosher foods.

However, in 2005 Atlanta received media attention for the high-profile Brian Nichols manhunt, who became internationally known as the "Courthouse Killer". In addition, broadcast media focused attention on a standoff involving a murder suspect (not an Atlanta resident) who perched himself on top of a construction crane for several days in the upscale Buckhead district.

              Houston, TX

Houston recorded 336 murders in 2005, in comparison to 272 in 2004. according to the Houston Police Department, murders in Houston peaked at 702 back in 1981.[23] Despite the rise in homicides of 23.5 percent, overall crime in the city dropped by 2 percent in 2005 compared to 2004. Most of the homicides that occurred in the last quarter of 2005 occurred in the city's apartment complexes—primarily in the southwest and north-central areas of Houston.[24]

Houston is currently going through a spike in crime due in part to an influx of refugees from New Orleans into the city following Hurricane Katrina. These hurricane refugees are believed to have been involved in nearly 17 percent of all homicides. Houston's murder rate increased 70 percent in November and December of 2005 compared to 2004's levels. At least 35 percent of the city's December 2005 increase in homicides—five of 14 over last year’s level—have been directly attributed to the presence of Katrina refugees.[25]
