what do you guys think? what i'm wondering is how they can back god up in this, wouldn't skeptics be like"if god was real they would have had a bigger boat so they could fit every animal like they planned, this boat looked tiny like it could fit a dog and a cat or somethign

i was gonna post this, and decided not too, because:

The B.A.S.E. Institute's samples are being examined at labs in Texas and Florida. B.A.S.E officials concede that there would be no way to conclusively prove that their finding is actually Noah's Ark.
so even if it is - we'll never know, and of course christians and athiests will stick to their guns on the issue.

True, but in its day it was a huge boat. And plus the Bible spend like an entire chapter just about the measurements of the boat (it'll be 30 cubits long and 20 cubits wide, etc etc). I just made those measurements up though. My point is that it takes awhile to describe the exact measurements of the boat.

True, but there probably weren't as many animals back then as there are now.

Legend also has it that President Jimmy Carter flew over the mountains in Iran hoping to see the Ark on his way to visit the Shah of Iran in 1977.

That boat is 45 feet long and 30 feet wide. That's 1350 square feet. A little bigger than the apartment I lived in, in Houston. It was crowded with a second person and a dog.
                    1 Cubit = 18 inches.
18.0000001188 Inches if you want to be incredibly anal.
                    45.72 centimeters.
Break out the actual measurements if you want.

When you think about it though, Panda is somewhat correct. Not that there weren't as many animals back then as there are today, there were probably more, but that because Noah was in the middle east there are only certain animals there. Realistically speaking if this did actually happen they probably would have only put two of every animal that is located in their region, or at least somewhat close to their region. This'd be real cool if it was the remains though.

Maybe god used his magical p0w3rs to shrink all the animals into the size of molecules. But also, lets not forget, the boat that held all those animals also had to have food and water for them all for 40 days... pbbt.

If all this shit is real, it isn't exactly fair for us you know, I mean back in the Biblical era people walked around and got to see Seas Parting for men, burning bushes talking to people, staffs turning into snakes and oceans turning red, and people walking around basically doing magic. And now, 2000 years later we are supposed to just believe it because of that? How about coming down and showing us some shit if you want us to believe. Anyways, my biggest problem is the fact that if you look at "Fantasy" type books from Lord of the Rings, down to the original monotheistic religion. They all sound the same, People used to be greater and live longer before bloodlines were mingled, and the one bad guy is the cause somehow of all the troubles and hurts in the world, but you can't really kill him only try to avoid him. Every religion has it's own set of stories that if you look through basically are idential to each other with a few minor changes. So if I had to pick any religion, it would be the first monotheistic religion, not christianity.

Bah making my edit my posts because of stuff you typed - The Bible said "two of every animal" not "Two of every animal that you happen to live near", I mean lets just say he took two of each animal from the region around him with him, than how did animals make it to other continents, I mean this was after Pangea had split apart into the Modern World Map.

i heard the middle east is pretty good for vicious carnivores and poisonous animals, must have been mega-fun on that boat

If they only put 2 of every animal from the Middle East, how do you explain the existance of animals outside the Middle East? It was the world that was flooded after all.

                              Actual measurements:
                              Genesis 6:15 (New International Version)
This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high.
Lastly, the flood is mentioned in alot of cultures including those that are seperated from civilization. I have to think how do they know about it if the world was flooded but there you go, I guess they could be the ancestors of the survivors too? I don't know.
