  • TW Counselling? good or bad idea?

I've been in other communities before which had counselling teams, everyone goes through shit at some time, and it helps to talk to someone. Who thinks it would be a good idea to introduce this to TW?

  • #2
I think the logs of such teams in TW might be worth posting when anonymized.

Random person> I am in such pain, I don't care about living anymore
TW-Counciling team> Why whine if -2ez- noob, owned, gg, afk
    Random person>...

Seriously, when people need to come to online games with their real life problems there is something REALLY wrong with this world

Tell them to get a weblog, I do not want people moaning at me any more than they already do

If you're in a good squad, people will generally like to help out / console with others since you've known them for a long time, and they have shared whats going on in their lives. If it becomes a public thing it'll be a joke.

Bad idea, as human beings I'd hope we'd find it natural to go to someone IN REAL LIFE for counseling. Kids (and adults) today have the world at their fingers with the internet, but this is just a bit too much.

Hahahaha, what an idea. If someone is going through something bad enough that they need to talk about it, I don't think a 16 year old on an internet game is going to be able to help them.

after youve known people long enough you trust them with shit even online, but im talking years not weeks. still im sure that no one logs on to this game to seek emotional support. at least i would hope. If you happen to know people for long enough that you can trust them thats great. If not then keep it to your damn self

                  lol counselling?

how about tw medical. if someone is complaining about pain, would be nice to type ?help and have Random <ZH> pm you and treat your problems. I'm sure it would be so accurate too, that way we don't have to waste our money on medical insurance. We'll all just log into TW and simply type ?help and have TW's medical staff fix us right up.

lol k im bein dumb, sry.
RaCka> how can i get you here

I agree completely. When my roommate and I did beatdown brigade like 6 years ago we'd occasionally have some kid join and seek emotional support and it was just like... "um no. We don't know you, what do you think this is?" Now guys that I"ve known online for years and trust like bloodzombie and divine rides it would be different, I wouldn't feel that strange helping them with a problem or asking for help. But a counseling group just doesn't seem like it's the right thing. Ask for help from your friends, not from an online game.
