genocidal, you're getting ripped off if your gamecube controller doesn't have 2 joysticks

I'd agree on controller confort--gamecube takes the win.

I know some might dispute it, but the Xbox s-controller wins second in my book.

GC controllers are, by far, the most comfortable.

And what's the s-controller? The normal XBox controllers are actually pretty comfortable for me. The only ones that suck are the extra large controllers. I can't even play anything with those.

LOL you're all noobs. GC is by far the worst controller. How are you supposed to play an FPS on that pos? And the S controller is the controller you are talking about win, the normal xbox controllers are the 'extra large' ones that should fit you perfectly if you dont have woman hands. At least for playing halo, other games it sorta sucks with because the buttons are too close, but I have never had a better controller for fps

So you're saying X-box controllers are better than the Gamecube's just because it can be used for Halo?

PROTIP: You move slower if you're on analog, it takes time to move the thing to full tilt. With buttons for movement, you're moving max speed 100% of the time you're moving any speed at all, why else do you think people on PC use the keys for movement and don't go looking for some secong mouse or a joystick?
alot dont really. because when lag interfers with the delay of your movement, joysticks/pads are actually faster. i cant play ninja in final fantasy 11 without my game controller, because lag interfers alot.

i don't understand the greatness of halo as seen by other people. i just find it to be another fps with some sort of storyline such as half-life, though half-life is more polished.

Well I'm saying that the Xbox controller is superior because I play fps on consoles I suppose. If you're going with the all around most comfortable controller you cant say that ps2 is NOT the best. l2/r2 is much easier to use than black/white and gamecube is just plain annoying with that button layout. I mean really, what is the point of the a button being 4 times larger than the b button.

Necro, maybe you havent played halo competitively or for more than just fun. The 1v1 on halo 1 was enough to keep my brother and me occupied for hours on end. Sooo much strategy and so little "boom headshot!", especially playing levels like hang em high and damnation. The second was still a very good game in its own right, but in hindsight I dont think that it ever quite reached the same level in my mind. There was a lot of strategy and such but it was always more about getting a plasma pistol/br and jumping around a corner with it at an opportune moment. I did have some good times though, like MLG DC. Even though ogre 2 ended up talking shit to me and there wasnt much I could do about it in FFA. oh well.

PS2 controller is too clumsy - you think it's the most comfortable because you probably don't own a Gamecube. The four buttons are equi-distance which is ridiculous for any game because you (almost) always use one or two buttons 50-60% of the time. Gamecube offers a central button (the four times bigger one) and three close to it that are easier to get to than the PS2 ones. The R2/L2 is generally useless; in some games it's an advantage but not necessity. Plus Gamecube has the Z button so it's only one button behind (not counting the control pad which is used pretty effectively in most games).

I always found the Z-button location a bit unwieldy, especially with the curve of the R-button. It would have been better if they made it more of a trigger and placed it below the R-button.

Did anyone else notice the front view in distort's picture was wrong?
