I think TA is not as good as ppl think it is. It was a pioneering RTS, but I think having WAY too many units kinda ruined it. It made the game into a kinda dilute game and placed no special emphasis on particular units. Starcraft and Warcraft and C&C were better imho.

TA with CC (core continuncy) owns every RTS past and present.

I disagree with the lack of special units it depends what side you played. Core had a big emphasis on special units such as the Uber-tank, the gimp and the krogoth $$$ i have yet to meet anyone who completed the krogoth level in TA + CC.

i mainly play TA Spring now as i like being able to play on line is fun, but i still think the orignal TA +CC has an edge on it. There are now even more units but they all have a purpose. in TA no unit is pointless or useless, even if it may seem so to begin with.
