I was actually going to mention that one as well!

Can anyone guess this super famous line from a perfectly known scene?

        "He's not dead, he's resting!"
        Ну вот...

I don't get it, what are we supposed to be guessing? That's from the Monty Python "I'd like to return this parrot" sketch.

You guys have mentioned a lot of really good ones so far. I'm repeating a few of them, I kno, but these are some of my all time faves:

***All time greatest shootout scene has got to be Heat with Pacino/Deniro where they do the Bank job. Also, the opening job in Heat where they rip off the bearer bonds from the armored truck with the goalie masks and the M-16's.

***Of course, 2 scenes from Pulp Fiction. The "...oh, I'm sorry...did I break your concentration?" where Travolta/Jackson get the "stuff" back from those 4 geeks in that apartment building. And the diner scene near the end where Jackson produces the Bad Muthafucker wallet.

***The ending scene of Rounders where Mike McDermott plays heads up against Teddy KGB.

***The ending scene of Scarface, where we get to say hello to Tony Montana's little friend.

And I have to make a petty correction....that's actually from The Unforgiven, which is definitely the all-time greatest Western movie ever made. And that's my all time favorite movie quote, because it's so fuckin true that I plagarize that shit all the time. The ending gunfight at the end of that movie is pretty awesome too.

                  Let's see:

                  United 93: The climax/ending.

Band of Brothers: Ltn. Speirs' little marathon through the town of Foy.

American Beauty: The cheerleader dance scene with Mena Suvari early in the film.

Léon: When Léon engages in the gunfight against the police in the building.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Both the Black Knight and the killer rabbit scenes.

Million Dollar Baby: The VERY sad and moving ending.

Forrest Gump: A lot of the scenes, because it was a brilliant movie. The Vietnam hero scene and the run-across-America scene.

                  There are too many.

What's epic about Ace Ventura, exactly?

Any of the Lord of the Rings movies. There's nothing not-epic about them.

The Professional: The bit where the SWAT is invading the apartment and Leo's hiding in the ceiling...so intense.

Ferris Beuhler's Day off: The scene where the principal is breaking into the house...and getting beat up...chicka-chickachicka-ahhhh.

                            I love that part.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

No chance vs the Once upon a time in the west, which is hands down THE western of all time. Heavy on the elite scenes, but one trully epic is the last showdown between Harmonica (C. Bronson) and Frank (H. Fonda), the way they circle eachother, music rising the tension, Leones trademark closeups on the eyes....everything is just so perfect in that scene.

Clockwork orange - Singing in the rain-rape-scene ...that one always cracks me up because of such contrast between music and the scene. That's why it stuck to my head for so long

                              Goodfellas - the Funny scene

Ran - Entire movie is great, but the last scene with the father...whoa...

Zatoichi - Closing scene!! Pure epic classic.

Road to Perdition - The rain scene was also one of the more perfect ones in recent movies. Music, atmosphere, poetic killing, the vengeance, the "I'm glad it was you". Very memorable

I love the climax of The Godfather, what with the simultaneous baptism and several people being murdered. Also the Bach that plays makes me tingle in a special place.
