My school got a bomb threat today.

I go to the Art Institute of Washington (which is like 5 minutes away from DC) and we received a bomb threat today. Around noon they kicked us out of the school and we had to wait across the street while they called the K-9 units and checked all 12 floors of the building. They didn't know how long it would take so they told everyone to go get some lunch.

What sucked was that the students who used the parking garage that day couldn't get to their cars and thus couldn't leave. Also some students left their stuff in the school (they didn't tell us it was a bomb threat, just told us to leave our stuff and exit the building) had to wait as well. They finished around 2:35 or so. I don't know who would want to bomb some art students, but I wish they had done it during my 8am class so I could have left even earlier =(

Someone phoned up my school one day and said there was a bomb in the toilets (I went to school in Essex), so we got to play football on the field all afternoon; my work was closed a couple of weeks ago because a suspect package was delivered to an adjacent building; and Al Quaeda tried to separate me from my limbs last July

Once some random guy was walking around my town with a gun and decided to wander towards the school. So of course we had to go on complete lockdown because of some drunk redneck.

A few weeks ago some goth kid brought a gun to one of our football games because he was mad at somebody. It probably would have turned into a school shooting, but someone saw the gun and called the cops before he could do anything.

Scary stuff.

once walked past a car which police and ambushed and dragged the driver and passagers out with machineguns and the ppl from the car shout "THERES A FUCKING BOMB IN THE CAR" ... turns out there was and it was "safely detnonated" using a remote control robot

my school got evacuated cuase there was an unexploded mortar bomb there

but i guess most ppl don't grow up with army walking the streets and fully armoured vehicles with manned machinegun turrets pointing at you as you walk to school

There was a kid at my high school that was obsessed with Sonic The Hedgehog. He drew some picture of Sonic fighting whatever the villain was, and the villain was saying "I'm going to blow you up" to Sonic. School got cancelled for the day. Sweet.

In 4th grade, the middle school (which is attached to my elementary school) had a sticky note with the words: there's a bomb in the school. So, we ate lunch outside, discussed what kinds of bomb it was, all that good stuff.

Never had a bomb scare at my school/college/uni, while I was there anyway. There was a small fire in one of the Art rooms though so we had to evacuate there.... not that exciting.

ive always wondered the same. Well, why do they always attack students? Like fuck why don't they do someting productive and bomb a police station or something? Same goes for the school shootings. stop picking on the innocent little children and teenagers. Fuck these people to hell

The entire school had to wait outdoors for approximately 4 hours during my senior year of high school. They wouldn't let us go back in until some army people came and there were practically 12 police cars swarming the school searching with dogs and such.

Story was, a bf/gf couple had decided they were each going to make bomb threats, one of them (I forgot guy or girl) went to my high school and left a bomb threat note in the bathroom. The other went to my junior high school within the same week and did similar.

No bombs.

there was a running joke in my high school: three years in a row we had a 'catastrophe' and had to spend the majority of the day standing outside.

year 1: Bomb threat...pretty standard..everybody just went home after a few hours.

year 2: Stabbing. kind of scary. some girl got stabbed. everybody went home after being safely quarantined for a while.

year 3: gas leak. people passed out, funny smells, etc.

the running joke though, was that ironically enough, this happened three years in a row on the first day it snowed. so we had to stand outside in the snow for like 4 hours every year. which made for some pretty sweet snowball fights..
