Haha!! Wii Mote wrist bands are breaking while people are throwing it like a baseball resulting in destroyed plasma screen tvs. How will u play any real games on a Wii, War Games, HD games, etc. Don't Get Wii stick with PS3.

i'll never understand why people are so impressed with the quality of the graphics in a game before ever having the chance to actually play it and get a feel for the gameplay. as far as i'm concerned, a game can look like a month old, dried up dog turd, but if it's super fun to play it gets a thumbs up from me.

this is yet another reason why i'm going for the wii. i *might* consider a used xbox360 in the future, but the ps3? fuck that. you're paying for pretty eye candy.

the thing is

you can buy wii + xbo360

and still spend less than you would on a ps3

wii for fun and cuteness
xbox360 for some proper gaming

i want to get a wii for three reasons:

1.) cost (i don't have the funds to pay for a 360 or ps3)
2.) don't have an hdtv (what's the point of high def graphics if you don't have a high def tv?)
3.) looking forward to unique games utilizing the "remote" controller
4.) NEW ZELDA!

i know i said i only had three reasons, but then i remembered the new zelda. it's out for gamecube too, which i have, but i want to play it on wii so i can use the new controller and actually swing my sword. :]

i guess there's a fifth reason too. i'm sick of my ps2. probably gonna trade it in along with all of my games for store credit somewhere and use the credit to put toward the wii.

I've been reading those comics for awhile now...

But, yes, I have all three systems and I would say the Wii is actually very cool... I'm completely addicted to Wii sports (man, me and medicore, under developed games :P )...

PS3, built on 8 cell processors (which during the beginning of launch with most games, wont ever need more than 6 or 7 processors funtional) has Resistance: Fall of Man, which is fun... But most of the games got held back due to Sony giving the developers more time to perferct their games before releasing them, which in my opinion, is practical genius... Do you really want a so-so decent game, lack of fun factor, or would you want a kick arse game, with tons of action, and well written story lines? Exactly...

Xbox 360 has Live, built on 3 core processors (built together), which is cool and all, but I don't think it will hold up after the Wii and PS3 start catching on, "via, releasing more titles"...

Anyways, they all have their advantages, just on how much you're willing to spend on them...

a: Wii was sold out (LAME!)
b: There isn't a good selection of games yet

It totally would be a great thing to buy. My plan is to pick one up in a years time, assuming awesome games get released. Since it is so cheap, and unique, I think a lot of people who get either the PS3 or the 360 will get a Wii as well.

Speaking of my 360, what should I get, NHL 2K7, or NHL 2007?

EDIT: I should mention that while I plan to use XBOX Live, I am looking for a strong single player experience more than anything. That and 2 player game play on the same console if I have a buddy over.

2K7 is WAY better.

Anyone else think of the old ass Sega PowerVest when they saw this? I can still remember the commercial tagline..."SEGA POWERVEST! FEEL THE GAME! FEEL THE FORCE! FEEL THE FUN!"

It was for Sega Genesis...it was basically like the N64 rumble pack...but you wore it over your head and shoulders like shoulder pads. I remember being like 8 and my friend had it, and he brought it over with Mortal Kombat 2 and I was too scared to try it cause I thought I'd really feel the game, and the idea of being hit by fireballs and being eaten by a Dragon did not appeal to me.

Wow. That system is next-gen in control only. The graphics look worse than the gamecube on the games i've seen so far. I'd call you a total idiot, but seeing as you're from southern california as well and not Europe, I must say you're probably a genius like most of us So Cal people.

I think I will get the Ps3 after all, as long as the Cell is really as badass it's hyped to be. Every time I'm flying planes in GTA: San Andreas and a fucking pine tree appears .003 seconds before I explode into it and die, I think of this factor.

GTA4 will be awesome, so I will want the most badass console to utilize it.
