Does anyone have an electric shaver that works?

I use an electric to shave my bum fluff of a tash once every few days (leaves stubble) and a blade every few weeks because I lack in facial hair... and arm pit hair.

I use an electric shaver daily. I just bought something fairly cheap at Target. I think it's a Braun. It has a "pre"-cutter and 1 foil that does a decent job of making it so I don't have to go back and forth.

Electric shavers don't work as well as regular blades. So if you are looking for something that does, you'll be disappointed. If I shave every day, it's pretty easy and it's fairly clean. If I go a couple of days or a week, it's not coming off with one pass.

I'm not extremely hairy. You do notice if I don't shave for a day but I can't grow a beard/goatee or anything. If you're the type that grows a beard in 14 hours, electrics are not for you.

I have quite heavy facial hair growth. And I use a razor right now (never cut myself so far).

As far as I know they work and you different kinds, for the sensitive skin they have ones with lotion etc. What I think is really important is to have moveable blade thingies so it really shapes to your forms. And you just have to make circling movements and go back and forth now and then.

I've used an electric since I started shaving, same one, actually a cheap ($40?) Norelco. I can't say I get the closest shave with it, I also don't use it daily. I'm also convinced that you'll get a closer shave using a normal razor.

The Gilette Fusion is good when I want a REALLY smooth shave, but for just a normal shave I got for the Mach 3 Turbo.

I used to use an electric but I hate all the itchiness and it never really got it that smooth. My roommate has a self-cleaning Braun and he seems to love it but I think it ran him $200.

As kind of an aside, I get some really wicked hair on my chin but I've still got patches on parts of my cheeks. Is there any way to alleviate this or do I just have to wait it out? WINTER IS COMING AND I DON'T WANT A COLD FACE!

I find once you go above 3 blades, it's a bitch... not because of irritation... but because i can't ever get them clean. My old mach 3, I could shave in the shower, hold it up to the shower head, and the hair would wash out. With my Schick Quatro... nope. Gotta change the blades every few days, which is why I keep my beard and only shave my neck.

I got a fusion for my 18th birthday. I won't deny it - cleaaaannnn shave - but the hassle of cleaning the blades is too much.

Does anyone besides Rab actually have one that works? Preferably someone in the US that actuallly has to shave everyday? I'd buy one in a second. This question has bugged me for a long time.

I pretty much have to either use an electric or have a beard, as I cut my self horribly every time I try to use a safety razor. I've got a Remington r860 and when I shave daily, it works great. The battery on it sucks, though, so I have to plug it in to use it.

i used to use an electric daily for face and head. always worked well for me, was some cheesy one too i got for like 20$. anyways now im married and dont give a shit what i look like, so i shave about once a month witch requires a blade

yes, i use an electric razor every day. i tried shaving the real way a couple times over thanksgiving break, and it didnt do much for me. took longer, razor burn was just as bad, and i had to shave against the grain to get a close shave anyway.

i use a remington electric razor with a self cleaning base, which can be a bitch because u have to buy special cleaning solution for it... and frankly i dont clean it that much any more. i really couldnt grow a good beard if i tried, though.. so i dunno. it'll give u a fairly close shave..

I've never had problems, and I got mine for 30 bucks at Wal-Mart.
