Hmmm... bands & musicians.
#1. Pink Floyd - Nothing compares to these guys. I have way too many copies of The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon vinyls. Crap tons of art and rare items. A lot of Derek Hess, Coop, and Frank Kozik art (gig posters) including a rare Smorkin Labbits collection (not related to Pink Floyd). Only thing I need is The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn original print.
#2. Mazzy Star - My favorite band that Hope Sandoval was part of. Discovered her a couple of years ago because of my wife's taste in music and I fell in love instantly.
#3. Creedence Clearwater Revival - John Fogerty's solo career is pretty good as well.
#4. Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - The Band Aid Boys!! I grew up on St. Claire Ave and saw them quite a bit growing up. They were a pretty big part of my childhood. My one friend's mother dated Charles Scruggs (Wish Bone), but was becoming severely depressed and fearful of all the weird shit they were doing with spirit boards. Art of War is one of my all-time favorite albums...played it and borrowed it out so much I had to buy multiple copies because of how scratched up they became. Same shit with When The Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1 by Three 6 Mafia.
#5. Gary Numan - The Pleasure Principle is a really good album. Still making great music. Intruder is a sick album.
#6. Swishahouse - Though not a band, this record label was everything for me in the early 2000s.
#7. Supertramp - Literally just getting into them.
#8. Brand New & Joy Division
#9. Lord Huron
#10. Massive Attack
Funk Volume was another label I was into for quite some time with Hopsin, Dizzy Wright & Jarren Benton. I guess they're known as Sill Movin now since Hopsin's departure?
This list would be completely different with my younger self. Literally all hip hop. I think I'm still finding myself with music and this list would change every month, except for my top 5. 6 through 10 will always change and have no meaning for their rank.
