I do not get how any person this high in ranks can be stupid enough to say shit like this.
Whenever a person this high on tw staff makes a post, you would really think they thought things trough before actually saying them. This shows just how the really high operators of this zone and the forum lack people skills(exeptions left out). Most (almost all) of the really high staff people try to make this zone as pleasant as they can... I am not even lying here.... There is just a piece left out of that sentence...

There is never a person that looks after the so-called "dickheads", or any other word you got for the persons that annoy you, while they are a major part of the population of TW.

Why didn't the TW staff understand by now there is a big amount of people that like that like to hit boundaries of the rules that are set both on forums as in game. Why do they not understand that you have to make rules really strict so no one can complain when they are enforced or when someone does something that is in it's boundaries... It might take like 50 hours totall to define the rules so perfectly clear that there would be no discussion in any of the rules (imho), and this would take away 1000+(overexagerated) staff hours discussing why something was fair or was not.
THings like this have happened far too many times to even remember all of them, yet them intelligent staff people seem to have not learned about it.(this has happend in too many occasions, including all staff activity and all the things staff has done throughout the years)

DG clearly abused her powers removing a thread about something she felt offended about... and banning a guy that made the to her Oh So offending thread... That alone makes her a bad forum moderator. Ofcourse you can say she payed for the upgrade of the forum and shit... but that wasn't something the community asked for, now was it? This community just wants to talk about stupid shit, shit about this game or just something they wanna share....
That is what these forums are about... Either do no care about any rules, and have really lose ones, or make them rules so obvious and clear so anyone will understand them and follow them strictly...

There is a majority of people that thinks(well, some think but don't actually "think" imho) staff is doing a lousy job. It might be smarter to maybe recruit some older members to staff, which actually know about this game and what makes this game so much fun, then them newer broads who really just do and tell what he and his friends like about this game. With this I also mean that you get people in higher positions that actually played this game at a competitive level and know how them better players think.

For example, who had ever heard of rudy or dangergirl before they got BanG or Forum head admin? No one... Why they get the job? Because there wasn't anyone else wanting to do that job? I don't know about that, but i don't believe there wasn't anyone else... but what I do know is that there isn't even 25% of this zone that knew Rudy before he got BanG thingy, and DG before she got forum head mod... I exagerate with 25%, cause im certain far less people had ever heard about them before they got those high positions in staff... I am even certain there is a far bigger croud knowing me in this game then knowing either rudy or DG... that is just sad...
Why make people that do not have a clear view of the general TW population high staff at all? That is just my main question... WHY???????? WHY???????????? WHY????????? TELL ME PLEASE... WHY?????????

I will give you an clear example of what staff does wrong....
Wark was one of the best hosts this zone has ever known, they took away his staff powers because he was sorta an ass...
I woulda just let him be staff, let him host a lot of stuff, cause that is what the general public liked... but atm he abused a bit, just ban him for a day... that would have gotten enough sence in him really... then he would just continue to host fun stuff for the next few months, till he got bored at a certain moment.. to then get banned for a day again, or a week, so he can think about how stupid he was doing certain shit.... and after that he could host again... Hosting certain events isn't something that gives you real powers over/in this zone... You do not have to give him that, he doesn't even want that... He just wants to get the appreciation for the work he does from higher staff members( He put a lot of time in hosting and helping this zone that way, you cannot deny that). He might even have contributed a lot more to this zone then some twl-ops or twd-ops. The job he did might nog have had the qualifications certain other jobs need on tw-staff, but the job he did, he did well.... He hosted so much and so often, and put so much time into his staff-job that I can only appreciate him being here.
And I think that tw-staff made him to the cunt he is today, he used to be superb, but staff taking away his powers made him into something so annoying and dreadfull I clearly have to end this post right here and now...

PS. I do not know wether I clearly stated my visions perfectly cause I BlahBlah'd at certain points and I'm a lil tipsy.... But I might clarify certain things when it's time for that...

First off, I knew Rudy was bullshitting, it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to ban 7-8 active forum members over something so petty, and I guess we called his bullshit. The forums have been around for quite awhile, you can't take something over after it has been around for so long and just decide that people can't act the way they were before you got your position. The fact that money was banned for his thread is sorta stupid as well, but since we are just talking about our favorite cats, well.

I'm actually just disappointed, that even though I spend countless hours outside of my full time job just to help out in this shithole game, this is the kind of thanks I get when I ask you for a simple favour to show you can be civil.

Of course, I can't say with 100% certainty why this is, but I feel like the forums would be better if the admins actually could have some kind of discourse when one of you does something completely arbitrary. The way I see it now, DG does whatever she wants and you back her up no matter what it is.

I don't think 8-year old kids ever entered either of your minds when you took action on the initial thread, or threatened action on this thread. DG deleted that thread because it offended her. She didn't want guys talking about women that way on her forum. But you can't tell me that the things that have been said about gays ever since Xog came back aren't much harsher than what Money was saying about women. If my eight-year-old learned the word faggot, I'd be much more upset than if he learned the word pussy. I feel like most parents that aren't from Alabama would feel the same way.

Before continuing with my post, I'm going to preface it with a few clarifiers:

1. I'm not trying to pile more dissent onto Rudy and DG. I realize it's a hard and thankless job to control this many young, sarcastic, intelligent (with only a few exceptions), and OPINIONATED people. Both have made definite sacrifices to try and contribute to the community.

2. I honestly believe Face is right-on-the-money---Rudy was just trying to back up DG's decision, and regardless of what the rules specifically say, DG was offended by the pussy post and made an emotionally-based judgment call and deleted a thread (something that has RARELY been done here).

3. LB is correct in pointing out how it's a tactical mistake to publicly make a hollow ban threat over a non-rule. Even if the goal of that hollow threat is to trick the gross violators into hanging themselves with the extra rope you just gave them, the Admins are still not making their position clear---which will undermine their credibility with the "good" forum users that we want to retain, and keep actively contributing here. They are the LAST demographic that you should want to disillusion by appearing weak or unfair to.

4. Since it's been made abundantly clear that the TW Forums are NOT a democracy and Forum Admins can do whatever they please, this adds further evidence that the Sarien situation had far less to do with abuse than internal politics. He was one of the few qualified people who actually wanted the job---and he gets publicly embarrassed him for his efforts? What a travesty.



Having said that:

I sincerely mean no disrespect by this, but as talented as DG and Rudy are in many other areas, this community would benefit if they were to improve their diplomatic skills. It definitely spotlights how underrated ZeUs!! was---he was the perfect mix of the handshake and the hammer. I regret not having appreciated how good he was at running our little mental asylum until he retired.

If I could make a humble suggestion to the powers that be: Please take greater interest in preventing these types of situations BEFORE they happen, instead of waiting until things are already out of control. You have the ability to lock threads so the handful of users who take great pleasure in stirring up shit don't get any momentum going when their threads are obviously nothing but trolling. You guys have the power to move threads to Useless Crap and Trash Talk. And honestly, this shouldn't become one of those "World" vs "Admin" forum environments. That's what I mean by the handshake and the hammer---you will gain a lot more loyalty, respect and support if you are a regular part of this community, instead of just coming around when you need to close a thread or ban someone.

I didn't need an explanation of the rules, I was simply telling you why he made the empty threat. It's not because he was trying to mold this forum into his "perfect world", he was simply threatening to throw his weight around in an effort to get the idiots to shut up. They were annoying him and he wanted them to stop, so he tried to use his position to do so, it didn't matter to him at the point and time whether or not there was a concrete offense he could have banned them for.

Expunge, Liquid Blue, Rudy and Ikrit break this rule in this thread in my opinion.
