You bring your intelligence or "superior morals" up in a huge percentage of your posts. You can't deny that.

People that are high and mighty because they are good at school bug the shit out of me, it's true. Part of this is because I think school is pretty fucking useless, and it's annoying to me that I suck at it. Meanwhile, people who have no common sense whatsoever but can read through Moby Dick without falling asleep are perceived as somehow extremely valuable in the work force. The only thing school measures is how well people do really boring stuff by themselves, and I have no plans on doing boring things by myself all day long as a career. Still, I can't get an interesting job without a college degree. So, yeah, that pisses me off, I'll admit it.

The other part of it is that I've met a whole lot of really booksmart people in my life, and the ones that talk about their grades and accolades constantly tend to be the ones that lack in common sense or social ability. Most of my friends are great at school, so it's not that I dislike anyone who is good at school, I only dislike people that shove it in everyone's face. To say that I'm jealous of other people because they're "smart enough" to succeed in studious environments is a case in point. There are tons of different types of intelligences, and school measures a very small amount of them. Further, there are plenty of different reasons why one might not succeed at school even if they did have the types of intelligence that school is supposed to measure (learning disabilities, etc).

C ) leave the forums, and wait until you leave your magnet school (holy shit, didn't you say you live in the DC area? do you go to TJHSST? fight fight for science and tech???? man that would be hilarious. that place smells awful) and realize that compared to people that aren't at magnet schools, you have no social skills. let that sink in a little bit, damaging your self-esteem just enough to get a sense of humor. then come back to the forums.

serious piece of advice: If you do go to TJ (if you don't go there and I was mistaken that you live in the DC area, it's a public magnet school filled with people that are good at standardized tests), or a similar school, try to realize that not everyone is like the people at your school. Not only that, of course, but recognize that the people in your school are great at school, but that doesn't make them the only smart people out there. I started out there, and hated it, and left, and I'm kind of glad, because my girlfriend went there, and so did lots of her friends, and they are seriously the most socially retarded people ever (her friends, not her). Being in an insulated environment like that where everyone is very similar doesn't teach you certain social skills you need to survive in the real world (or even college).
1.) My post was not intended to flaunt my intelligence, but to make the point that I might not be getting straight As only because I go to a rigorous school, so my point that normal high school is more difficult than middle school might not have been valid. You seem to be overwhelmed by the fact that you dropped out of the magnet school (which I do NOT go to, by the way), so you're critical of other people who are smart enough to succeed in studious environments.

2.) I have the sense of humor and social skills of any socially adept high school student. On weekdays I work on my applications to Yale and Brown, but on the weekends I go out and party with cheerleaders and my friends on the football team. Just because I'm intelligent doesn't mean my only social interaction is with nerds like you via the internet. Why do you think I quit subspace? I have better things to do, like do well at school, run political campaigns, and go out and party on the weekend.

I had straight As until high school. No offense, but high school isn't quite the same thing academically... I have a hard time pulling off 2 As in my 5 classes (then again, I'm at one of the best high schools in the country). Won't keep me from applying to a good college, though.

P.S. think it this way: Einstein was rejected from universities and Bill Gates never graduated. Seriously not being able to get into Yale is not the end of the world.
see what happens when you don't get laid in college, DTF? There is always someone worse off than you.

I don't know how it works in CT, but in Virginia if you get decent grades in the community college system you are guaranteed transfer into a state school, and your transcript or w/e just says whatever school you ended up going to

Man that always happens to me, Whenever I get in I usually stay up for an hour or two and drink a few glasses of water, thereby preventing a hangover in the morning, so I usually go on the computer and send people messages and make a dick out of myself.

Well I knew I was getting turned down from every school I applied so I just applied to a few state schools but ultimately I will go to a JC. I know a bunch of friends that go to the JC I want to go to, so it ain't no thang but a chicken wing on a string.

I should clarify, I had no passion in going to Yale and don't care about not getting in there at all. It was just a "what the hell, I might as well" sorta thing.
