my fault for calling him on point 3 of his what makes a good president. Atleast it has highlighted how messed up your views are blueblaze, i like how with every point you make you bring it back to either, if a woman is raped, it is their fault, or, if that women had been a christian and had had christian friends, they would most likely have not been raped.

to be honest there is no need to argue against your point, all i need do is tell you to re-read Liquid's posts, i believe he takes care of it quite well.

Ok, I felt like it, so here goes.

I find it great how everyone grossly takes everything I say out of context.

For starters Kolar, I am referring to rape in first world countries since almost everyone here is considered living in one.

Liquid Blue, it is obvious that you don't know your statistics if you claim only 1% to that and I never claimed that every case of rape was part of the woman's fault, but the odds of getting raped were severally increased by an immoral lifestyle.

      1) Dress modestly, that doesn't mean your wearing a full length dress with a vail. Cover up from the knees to the shoulders is what I would consider modest. It would be difficult to find a statistical search on this because obviously my definition of modesty isn't the same as many people, but if you dress modestly, then it will help lower your risks of getting in relationships with absolute pornographic people burned in their lust, people who desire sex before marriage, friends who think with their lusts then mind, etc... While I don't have statistics for this specific point, this obviously effects who you hang around with, and who you hang around with is severally important concerning rape, do some research and look at these statistics.
I have sex before marriage, but I don't look at how modest a girl is dressed to decide if I might want a relationship with her.

      2) Make friendship with evidencing Christians who seek sex after marriage. If you hang around ungodly sinful people, you raise your risk.

90% of women who were raped, atleast in college, knew their victim. If you hang around people who evidence themselves as Christians and seek sex after marriage, then that gets rid of probably 89.9% of rape at college in the cases mentioned. As well, if you end up going to a Christian university, that will even more so lower your odds for rape.

When you go to college, you go to classes, in those classes are people. Over time you get to know these people, you know their names, know their faces. Outside those classes, you chose not to associate with those people because you don't like them all that much. One day, they come and rape you, you know your victim, you know his name, you are in his class. But you never associated with him, you never hung around him outside the classes.

In other words, knowing your attacker doesn't mean you hang around with them.

      3) Don't consume alcohol, live a godly lifestyle.

If you don't consume alcohol or hang around people who do, you remove 80% of your chance for being raped by a date rape drug.
It says that in 80% of the cases alcohol was being used by at least ONE partner, nowhere does it say that in 80% of the cases EVERY time the woman is drinking alcohol. So you can't claim to remove 80% of your chance.

      4) Espouce a Godly Christian and don't have sex until marriage.

If your sexually active with someone, they are more likely prone to rape, then someone who you are not sexually active with. If you have sex with 50 guys before marriage, and then marry 1 of them, you are a higher risk candidate for rape then someone who has sex with 0 guys before marriage, and then marry 1 of them.
Can I get a.. wtf? Where are the statistics that out of the people that got raped by their partners, that none of those had no sex before marriage. That none of those are not devout Christians? Your claim of Christians that have no sex before marriage never raping anyone is based on nothing. That proves nothing about being with a "saved" one makes you safe.

And no where do I see statistics that not having sex before you marriage means you won't get raped, and that someone who had sex with 50 guys before marriage does get raped. Your arguments on this are so full of holes..

As with drug/alcohol use, researchers are trying to understand the complex relationships between sexuality and sexual violence — their causality, directionality, and other etiologic factors that increase vulnerability for victimization are not well understood. Some researchers believe that engaging in high-risk sexual behavior is both a vulnerability factor and a consequence of childhood sexual abuse. Youth with many sexual partners are at increased risk of experiencing sexual abuse (Howard and Wang 2003; Valois et al. 1999).
Having multiple sex partners increases your risk for sexual abuse, and increases your child's risk as well.
I believe it said that the high-risk sexual behaviour comes from being abused in your child-hood, not increases the risks for your child. Just because it has the word child in it, doesn't mean you can decide in what way it relates to children.

      5) How you live your life increases your odds

It may also make them more dependent on men for survival and therefore less able to control their own sexuality, consent to sex, recognize their own victimization or to seek help when victimized. These issues increase their vulnerability to sexual victimization (Jewkes, Sen, and Garcia-Moreno 2002). In addition, poor women may be at risk for sexual violence because their economic (and, often, educational) status necessitates that they engage in high-risk survival activities, for example trading sex for food, money, or other items (Wenzel et al. 2004). Poverty also puts women at increased risk of intimate partner violence, of which sexual violence is often one aspect.
      A. Poverty may make the daily lives of women and children more dangerous, walking alone at night (why should you walk alone at night? not necessarily sinful always, but not very wise)
You seriously gonna blame women, and especially children for being poor and thus it's their own fault for being raped? Jesus fucking Christ.

      B. Less parental supervision (Why arn't parents taking care of their kids, poverty reason, because there is probably a single mom taking care of the child. Most likely there was pre-martial sex which caused the child or divorce (which is not Biblical for Christians to partake). If both parents are present and still in the poverty situation, why are they having children they cannot adequetly provide for, both economically and emotionally? Either a sinful relationship occured, or the parents were having children when they couldn't provide for.
Because the condom broke and they weren't allowed to do an abortion? Because they couldn't afford condoms but were married and where like, hey, we are allowed to have sex now. And since when does sex before marriage cause a divorce? One day they wake up and go. OMG WE HAD SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE WE SHOULD DIVORCE RIGHT NOW.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

C."It may also make them more dependent on men for survival and therefore less able to control their own sexuality, consent to sex, recognize their own victimization or to seek help when victimized. These issues increase their vulnerability to sexual victimization" If this is the case, then the problem here is that the women cannot control their sexual desires, and how sinful sex outside of marriage is.
When you get raped, it's because you said no to someone, but he did it anyway. So the woman says no but she cannot control her sexual desires? And you have stated rape happens within marriage too, so how does this prove that how sinful sex outside of marriage is.

D."Poor women may be at risk for sexual violence because their economic (and, often, educational) status necessitates that they engage in high-risk survival activities, for example trading sex for food, money, or other items"

If you prostitute your body, you raise your odds for rape.
Again blaming poverty? Women chose to be so poor they have to resolve to prostitution so it's their fault they are poor and thus get raped?

E."Poverty also puts women at increased risk of intimate partner violence, of which sexual violence is often one aspect. " The women are already having sex outside of marriage, thus raising their odds for getting raped as well.
How does this prove the women are already having sex outside of marriage, poor equals sex outside of marriage?

Conclusion: If you are living a morally upright godly Christian life which abstains from pre-martial sex, seeking a partner who also shares those beliefs, and taking friendship with people who share those beliefs as well, you will dramatically reduce your risk for rape. If you still deny this, then obviously you have no intelligence and cannot read or comprehend statistics.
Conclusion: You're blatant distortion and abuse of the statistics you used here proves your tunnel vision. No where did you prove that having sex before marriage improves your chances for getting raped. I haven't seen one statistic saying that never has a woman been raped who did not have sex before marriage. Your post proves you have no intelligence and you just blindly follow what some people wrote a hell of a long time ago. The way you interpret these statistics you used says a whole lot about you.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

I still say that in order to get a pro-life bumper sticker, you should have to adopt some poor kid. If you're going to tell other people they have to give birth to their fetuses, you should have to raise the things.

As far as the original topic is concerned:

            1) Doesn't think war is going to fix everything
            2) Pro gay marriage (or at least equal rights, I don't give a crap if they call it marriage or not)
            3) Pro-choice
            4) Well-spoken but not a smarmy douchebag
            5:gen> man
            5:gen> i didn't know shade's child fucked bluednady
