At the beginning of the program we had a lot of people who would slack off, people who didn't want to be in IT and such. I remember a lot of us would go running around on campus looking for empty rooms to setup a starcraft/warcraft LAN, skip class and goto the bar and generally waste time. Following that kind of crap nearly got me kicked out but most of them didn't change or find a balance to it so by the second semester it wasn't a problem.

    WOOO SHERIDAN!

    Pub night for the win?

If I came to college for drinking and sex all the time, I wouldn't be in engineering.

I could totally be a business major in another life

College was tons of fun, and although I didn't live on campus, I still had a great time. I went to college to learn (same reason i went to high school) but noticed something, there are girls in high school and college, and I like girls, and girls like me and it's a wonderful life. so even if you took my parties and booze away, i'd still be the skirt chaser i am.

With that being said, post college sucks, I work in a tottaly male dominated industry (construction) which sucks, so now I do more partying then I did in college, just to continue my skirt chasing.

Fuck it, I need a new career.

but then again way too many people join the navy for that reason too
There is no way in hell you'll get me on a boat or plane to send me off to the military or navy, I might as well pre-buy my body bag. The only thing that I might join is the UN but I think that I'd wind up dead quicker than if I joined the Canadian Armed Forces.

I'm kind of like Genocidal, I've had five years not four to run around get pussy, drink myself stupid and smoke a hell of a lot of pot. I'm quite happy with my girlfriend, who I've been with for 8 months so I see no reason to ditch her and try to get with a lot of College or University girls. The temptation will probably be there, but I love her too much to fool around on her. If things change in the future, I'd probably have a bit of fun with other girls but I usually can't randomly do stuff with girls and forget about it.

I love that I decided to take this year off regular school and do night school at an adult high school, you meet a lot of interesting people who have all different reasons for being there. I think that I would prefer going to a school like Jerome's where I could meet a whole assortment of people who generally aren't my age, even if it was half and half that'd be cool.

I go to school in a different state (CA whereas my home is in Florida) and so I had to pay out of state tuition on top of in-state fees. It wound up being around $4000 to $5000 per quarter (3 quarters per year) after lab fees, housing and books. My parents were willing to pay for all of this (really awesome) since I'm doing engineering and it's pretty tough. I got residency this year though so my costs have been pretty much cut in half. Money is kind of an issue, since my dad makes a fair amount but we're by no means rich. Might have to tap into student loans in another couple years, since hardly anyone graduates from my school in four years, it usually takes 4.5 to 5 years.

Far as sex and booze goes, it would be a lot harder if I were going to school near home (at least the booze). I've been hammered hard a few times and I've had a steady girlfriend for over a year so really, I guess the hardcore partier isn't really my lifestyle. I wouldn't drop out of those things weren't there, I'm already in my second year of aerospace engineering and I'd feel like I'd have wasted a LOT of my parents' money and MY time if I just gave up. It's kind of exciting because although both my parents have bachelor's degrees, not many other people in my family do.

I was talking to Payment the other day, and he is at Cambridge (or was it Oxford?) Anyway one of those fancy ones in London. He told me it cost him 70k a year to pay for the School alone.. I was like, wtf? My mom pays 1.3k to 1.6k (not completely sure, I don't pay it) a year in school fees, add the books and you'll be done with like 2k to 2.5k a year to attend uni here.

Here's my question about college. Assuming a kid had parents that were willing to pay for a four year stint in college, and the week before the kid goes off to college, the school mails him a degree by accident. They check everything out, and according to the school, the kid walked in May, and it really is a bona fide college degree. How many parents would think the education itself was really worth paying tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars for? I bet a very, very small percentage of parents of kids who wanted to major in liberal arts would even consider throwing down the cash. If a kid wanted to major in engineering or something, I bet quite a few parents would pay for it, but a bunch of others might just say "sorry dude, read some books or something, we are remodeling the house."

edit: No more talking about Pandagirl and her virtues in this thread. Put it in this one: http://forums.trenchwars.org/showthread.php?t=29256

I could say I got totally plastered once.. but I didn't most I have had on one day was 1 big glass of beer when I was 2. (My dads beer was sitting on the table and apparently I though it would be good). Next to that I have had half a glass of beer and decided I don't like it. (They always say you have to learn to drink beer but I don't see the point). I have had half a glass of wine, decided I didn't like it. Have had some stuff like bacardi and bacardi and coke and decided I don't like it.

I just don't like the taste of alcohol at all. I have nothing against drinking, I just don't like it. But I am perfectly able to have fun without drinking and I don't end up with hangovers or doing really stupid shit.

I don't really remember much of the night, but some of the guys I hung out with had a laugh about it next time I saw them.

From what I remember I had 3-4 beers, 17 shots, a few jello shots, and a two story beer bong. This was in a span of like 3 hours, and let's remember the fact that I'm pretty little.

Apparently my parents came and got me and brought me home, which is probably a good thing because when I woke up I was totally naked lying on my bed.

The party was fun, but the best part was the host absolutely hated me. I don't remember who invited me, or if I was invited, but I do remember that he was really pissed at me being there. Suddenly the party got really somber and lully, so I decided to leave with my friends. On the way out, the guy called me a dick. I shouted somethings back, and I have no idea what I said, but it reallly pissed everyone off. So on our way out, I decided to get some revenge by stealing one shoe from a couple pairs in the house.

I still have those shoes today.

    No shoes? HIPPIE PARTY
