These shots were taken during our school trip to a conference in NYC a few weeks back.

I like this first one, especially since you almost can't tell that it was shot through the window of our bus.

This one is of the children's memorial for 9/11. The bars along the top and bottom were from the handrails on the double-decker tour bus I was on. I framed the shot with the bars in it because their reflections fit the red-white-and-blue motif.

I forget which building this was in front of. Native New Yorkers can probably fill us in on that. It's near city hall, I believe. I just like the combination of lines and curves.

These are a few of my friends. We had the crazy idea of going to Coney Island during a snow storm. Though it looks like this was set up, it wasn't. They were just trying to get out of the freezing rain.

I shot this photo at the M&M store. We noticed the giant billboard for a porno flick across the street. I like the shot because of our reflections, especially of Dom in the orange-and-green St Patty's day hat.

This last shot was from last autumn. We ran this photo in the college sports magazine we produced. It went with a story about the end of a dynasty. The coach in the foreground and his team were undefeated in four years until a loss early in the season. This was shot in the bronze medal game.

what cameras are you guys using

also - is there a program out there that lets me shrink multiple large pictures (like the stretch/skew in paint) at once for easier uploading?

                          Canon S2 IS

If you use Picasa for online albums, the desktop version will resize and upload.

I use ImageMagick and GraphicConverter (OS X only) on my PowerBook

if you have photoshop you can automate it to do loads of shit

e.g. open up a photo despeckle it , resize it then sharpen it and save it in another folder.

You can batch job it so it does it from your card reader i think
