  • Anyone play badminton?

    Recreationally or competitively?

I usually play about 3 times a week for 2 hours each with different groups of people. I find it to be a great sport to play because its indoors, and is played all year long. I don't find myself playing singles much, usually doubles. I'm currently using an mp99 racquet and carbonex30 as my spare. I'm also searching for a new racquet that I can use simulatenously with my main mp99 racquet that I can get strung to higher tension (about 27). If anyone has any suggestions for what kind of racquet I should pursue to get such high tension on it, feel free to speak up. Although at the professional level, it is dominated by Indonesia, China, Denmark, Netherlands, it is very diverse at the amateur level, so I'm sure it isn't hard to participate in a local group for badminton if you haven't tried it already.

Wow, that sounds like serious shit. I assume they are highly aerodynamic and can fend off sexual predators? No, seriously. Who would name a racquet "carbonex30?" Seriously, this is a "sport" where you swing over-sized fly swatters at tiny peices of plastic. I'd assume racquet names would be something along the lines of "Marshmallowpuff" or "DaisyMcFlutterly".

I play badminton once in a while as I find it the most stress-alleviating sport. Not that big of a fan, I don't use a fancy racquet, but I'd prolly kick ur asses anyway  :fear:

Not badminton, but racquetball. Singles and doubles are both fun. I only go every so often though.

I have played badminton all my life because all of my family play too. Played for my school for about 6 years and played for my county (state) for the same period of time. My last raquet was some Browning one, cost me $150. I didn't really like it but i was still a bit gutted when i slipped on the court and bent the head in half

It's a great sport. Didn't have my own raquet but I came among the finalists when we had tournaments every year in school. One of my best friends was in the county team. Couldn't beat him no matter how hard I tried..
