What is your favourite:
-American domestic beer?
-Shitty/cheap beer?
-Type of malt liquor?

My answers:

• Rolling Rock
• Used to be Natty but I've recently gotten sick of it and for now it's Miller High Life
• King Cobra
• This is more difficult. I really like Amstel, Red Stripe, Blue Moon, and Heineken. But since they're more expensive and not usually that much better, I stick to domestic mostly.

• British Domestic Beer (Ale): Hogsback T.E.A.
• Shitty/Cheap (Lager, what americans call beer): Fosters/Carling
• Malt Liquor: I thought this meant whiskey, but wikipedia tells me it's the equivalent of "super-strength lager". Only homeless people and utter pikeys drink that so... dunno.
• Favourite Import: Big fan of Hoegaarden, Leffe Blonde is nice too.

They are the school example of what marketing can do to a crappy product. Hm, these chemicals sure taste good, and I am happy to pay extra for it!

I'm not a great fan of heineken. It tasted slightly worse to me than other lagers, and is quite a bit more expensive.

I drink Stella occasionally, sure it's expensive, but the taste is not bad and it's good if I want to get drunk.

-Shitty/cheap beer? the lidl beer, god it tastes horrid, but its cheap.
-Type of malt liquor? Karhu Tosi Vahva (not that i drink it regularly, ive had it once...)
-Favourite import? Guinness Draught, Kilkenny, Beamish Irish Stout, Kozel Dark, Asahi Super Dry, Stella Artois.

Germany has many better beers but the majority of them aren't imported to the US. I realize Heineken is the beer they serve in McDonald's over there but I grew up enjoying so it's not really that big of a deal.

On the flipside, one of the most popular beers in Germany when I was there was Budweiser - so it's not like American beer is garbage. There are so many independent breweries and local shit (not to mention higher grade domestic) that you Euros couldn't say with any accuracy the state of American domestic.

Seriously though Gen, most mass porduced beers aren't that good, even canadian ones for that matter suck. It's the smaller micro-breweries (i don't know what you call them) up here that make the best beer, and i'm pretty sure it's the same in most countries, parts of the world...

Big name beer that sucks: Canadian, Coors Light, Budweiser, Labatt's products (will drink blue but most suck), Heineken is fucking garbage...

Malt Liquor: Mickey's Ice (but I'm not a real fan of the cheap cheap beers)

American Beer - Sam Adams Boston Ale
Cheap Beer - Natty Ice 30-Racks are always on sale at the packy down the street, so they are the cheapest.
Malt Liquor - Can't go wrong with Colt45.
Imported - Guinness to drink, Corona to buy.
