What is the average penalty for similar offenses in California? A lot of people talk about Paris getting special treatment, but I don't think they're speaking with actual legal experience. It's easy to just say she's getting special treatment and sentenced to ONLY 45 days in jail, but if that's within the norm then there's nothing special about it.
