    I am as much against positive discrimination as I am against negative discrimination.

    Equal Opportunities stuff is bullshit. If I am applying for a job, and it says "we need to know your race for equal opportunities purposes", I just think, what the fuck, if it were true equal opportunities, why ask what race I am? Instead of it working how it's meant to, it means that employers are likely to favour employing minorities so they fill their quota and don't get a slap for employing too many able, white people.

      Technically yes. You're allowed to discriminate against :

      White people (been there done that).
      Able people (that job description).
      Men (car insurance).
      Religion (depends on context).

              I don't think a girl with short hair getting a trim is going to be paying as much as a girl with long hair.

              Also, girls, even with short hair, tend to have it a lot more styled at the hairdressers than guys do.

                People who want to get a trim don't go too the hairdresser.. That would be just stupid for them.
                They style all people over here, males/females, short/long hair. Everybody get some wax or w/e.
                When you say styled you mean that they for example get their hair colored? Because that is going to cost you extra either way. And you don't have to have it.
