Does anyone here seriously think it has racist undertones to be a little pissed when someone comes into our country illegally, which isn't what bothers most people, but then gets a job in the service industry and can't speak the language a majority of the population uses every day of their lives?

It isn't asking a lot that if you get job talking to people every day that you understand what they're saying to you.

it is hard especially from spanish to english, we use words that dont exist in their language, they do also but far less and almost all words translate into english from spanish, like ive been with my wife for 4 years and i learned spanish WAY faster than she has learned english.. dont know if that says anything lololol

This pisses me off a lot too. The problem is, I'm not pissed at the employee for not speaking English of course, she applied for a job and they gave it to her, it's not her fault she'd rather be a cashier than working the fryer. I don't see a point in humiliating the employee, though, so generally, if that happens to me I just leave. The occasional time it involves money, though, shit really pisses me off.

There's one lady at my local Subway that hates me now because of a discrepancy caused by their shottily named products. They had a sub called the cold cut combo, and I ordered it because it was the sub of the day for 2.49, and bitch gave me chips and a drink and charged me 5 dollars total, which I didn't want, and she said "you order combo" and I'm like "yeah but if you look on the menu, a "cold cut combo" is 2.49, so either give me 2.49 back and let me keep the chips and a drink, give me 2.49 back and I won't get chips and a drink, or I'll give all of this shit back and you give me all of my money back." She understood what I was saying, but was too lazy to override the cash register, so she pretended her English was too bad to understand, and made me argue with her about the menu for 5 minutes. The 2.49 didn't matter but the bitch refused to turn around and look at the menu and differentiate between "combo" and "fresh value meal" and it pissed me off so much. It's one thing to not understand English, it's another to pretend not to to make the customer feel awkward for wanting something reasonable. Oh yeah, she also called me a punta or puta or whatever. I was high as shit for this exchange so it was intense as hell.
