In 1933, Hitler used the Reichstag burning to gain power and move the people to war. As a result, 7 main articles of the constitution were suspended to control the citizens.

Pearl Harbor was setup to get support to bring Americans into WWII.

In 1964, PT boat attacks (which never happened) were used to persuade Americans to go to war in Vietnam.

In 1991, Bush Sr. used the lie about Iraqis invading Kawait and going into Kawait's hospitals taking babies out of their incubators and leaving them on the floor for dead (never really happened) to persuade Americans to support Desert Storm.

911 was staged to get Americans to support the war on terror... 30 days afterwards came the patriot act; compromising our liberties for more government controls... and it's going to get much worse.

HB, are you actually trying to defeind Dick Cheney? Whether you're a republican/Bush lover or a very left hippy I think we can all agree that Cheney (and Rumsfeld who had to resign along with many others) has misled the American public. I honestly don't think Bush is capable of even misleading a kindergarten class on his own.

If you turn on PBS once in a while for the real news (that's not influenced by the major 6 corporations that own the media in this country) you'll see just what Cheney and Rumsfeld did, not only in the past 7 years but when they worked together before this administration as well.

Kucinich is one of those candidates who has little to no corporate backing because he's fighting for the citizens, not the lobbyists. That doesn't mean I think he's the right choice, it's just unfair that you have to do the lobbyists biddings to get noticed. Sad thing is candidates like him run every election but nobody ever notices, or they get a bad image and have no major outlet to let their opinions/views be known.
