Sigh.. I'd seriously post my transcript if I had one on a file right now. My GPA is in high 70's - low 80's which is slightly above average undergrad business student. So don't talk to me about passing with 60's kid, you know nothing and just talking out your ass.

Most important thing you've said, it doesn't really matter that he keeps up a 60% average and gets his undergrad degree, once he gets his MBA or PHD then he come and talk to me about how successful he is, right now he's done nothing worth congratulating.

Even if my comments were a direct attack, and they were it was totally warranted. Wark is a shit disturber that preaches the fact that he maintains a 60% and will eventually get his undergrad, not that he's working on his masters or anything... As far as room to talk about their education Wark is limited.

I actually have to come to Ward's defense on a couple issues.

1. Last time I checked the Schulich school of business was very tough to get into. I was a percent or two below their requirements back in 1999 so I have to give Ward some credit.

2. I'm betting Ward has to keep a 70-75% average to stay in his program. Any self respecting school of business would require that.

3. The value of an MBA's has plummeted in the last 10-15 years. They are amazingly easy to get (even from respected schools) and have little immediate impact on your salary or job prospects. The only people who should get MBA's are people who are currently working in a non-business field but need business training to move into management.


Oh and I want to apologize to Spider for helping to redirect his personal and important thread. I think he's received all the advice he could handle and more so I don't feel too guilty.

1) It's not amazingly hard to get into, keep up good grades and you're in. I held a 99 and 100 in two senior grade 12 credits and got a full scholarship to University/College for the next four years. I had top grades in all of my school, and this is after me dropping out and coming back.

2) I've already been through his school's website and to graduate without honors and stay in the course you need to keep a 60-70.

3) A master's in business is really good to have, once you have your masters you can teach in your respected field and do many other things. Generally more money, it also shows that you care about your given field to increase your knowledge in that field. The way I look at it is the more time I spend in school the more money I'll be making, although I will be working at either CBC or City TV next year.

I'm not saying Ward's a complete idiot, but socially he's inept. Maybe he does hold a 70 in Schleps school of business but getting mediocre grades in an undergrad program is nothing to boast about. I'm not trying to boast about my accomplishments but I'm just pointing out that doing well in high school and getting into this school that seems full of arrogant assholes isn't that hard. Plus once your in you can squeak by and get a degree, now getting into their MBA program probably cuts off half the kids that go there.

Pick and choose your battles Eric, Ward publically makes an ass of himself and promotes stupid ideas about women, politics and school in general. Like Epinephrine said most of these kids have serious fucking ego problems.

There are no pickup lines wow. It teaches how to approach with confidence, begin conversation, and get the girls number you moron. You learn from the guys who are good at it.

There's 4 hosts and the whole premise to use lines and get digits, it's funny how there's actually a guy who believes in being romantic yet he hosts a show where you try to get as many numbers as you possibly can from a night club. Like they say on the show, it's all about getting it as quick as possible and getting out, and yes 9 times out of 10 they use some generic pick up line. That show doesn't teach you dick, it teaches you how to meet dumb hoes who are attracted to one liners that temporarily make them feel better about themselves. It doesn't teach you how to talk to women or how to approach them, half the shit you need to know is something you learn by doing.

Maybe you don't date or have a relationship because you actually apply what you see in this show to real life.

Is this show the same as "The Pickup Artist?" It sounds similar. I thought it was funny how the tips revolved around making the girl need you by ignoring her/sarcastically insulting her/etc once he got their attention. Why must girls in bars represent an entire female population? <_< Then again, it is called "pick up artist" and not "find a decent girlfriend."

Interesting fact though. When you go through a break up you kinda learn who your friends are. For example, my best friend's (well, technically second best but he's an ok guy) girlfriend was the first person to invite me out to do something. We're going to all get together for something. It's funny how there are people in your life just on the periphery of it that will come in to say "how the fuck you doin, anyway?" even though you really aren't that close. You know, when 2 months ago one stupid girl was your entire planet. I've never done anything for my friends girlfriend, and probably never will. Yet here she (and he) is, to go chill out with me.

I'm thankful for that.
