I'm really getting tired of Canadians being pegged as socialists, knock it the fuck off.

Just for the record, Kolar opposes most social programs except Universal Healthcare, that is the only thing he approves of paying taxes for. Me and Kolar don't agree on tons of things but we do strongly believe in health care, this doesn't make us socialists. He comes home with his checks and sees a shit load of cash go into welfare, government housing that takes dollars out of his pocket and makes him one step closer to having to use these programs. Welfare and government housing are the two most abused programs in Canada, it's fucking ridiculous how my family shares a 2 bedroom house with 4 people yet people living across the street in government housing have Acura's, Mercedes and flash around their exspensive clothing. I hate mothers who pop out kids left and right and we the people keep paying for them, it's fucking ridiculous.

It's not bad enough we all have a job and go to school or that my mom has a full time job and a part time job, it almost seems like it'd be easier for us to just claim these programs and not get raped by taxes. If you think were a bunch of socialists that think everything should have everything paid for them like a bunch of communist douches then you don't even know me or my brother, my anger sifts as I think about how our system is abused and used to force people onto programs that just screw us all over.

If you even want to know where my brother stands he's socially liberal, and moderate on his economic views. I'm socialy liberal, and economically a fiscal conservative. I do believe in some basic things that must be provided for the people but 90% of what is provided for us in Canada needs to fucking go and people need to stand on their own two fucking feet.

Homelessness is an issue, I also think that a lot of the problems in society are related to laws that pertain to requirements to actually get a SIN card or have a place of residence. Homeless people (well some) can't get work because they don't have a SIN card, they can't get that SIN card because they don't have a place of residence, they don't have a place of residence because they're homeless. The government can't turn it's back on the homeless in the way that it can't not enable people to help themselves. Would I want taxes to go into providing houses for these people? Fuck no, there's already too many people on government housing, and they seem to leech off of.

If you can work you should better fucking work, I don't care who you are or what level of education you have, you can always make things better. If you have to work 50 hours a week and go to school at night or on weekends, then fucking do it.

Canada has some fucked up social programs, most of which I'm not in favor of having or letting people spend a life time using and abusing. Help is meant to be help in the short term not a lifetime of welfare.

I truly believe I live in a better country than you Izor, a person can come here and start off at 8-10 and have more than enough money to help them launch a career and live a decent life. Where as if I started my new life in America I'd be lucky to make as much as I would in Canada and I'd also have to wory about if I got sick, because it's not like I have a lot of money to pay for health insurance (considering you're minimum wage is a lot lower than ours). There's a lot of opportunity for immigrants, which is why most people would favor immigrating to Canada over America. We have a strong demand for skilled workers and trained professionals, we have a lot of good things but we also have some downsides to this country. When I look at the scope of things, I truly believe that I have it a lot better than the average American.

Here's a couple things I want to see gone or cut down

- Welfare (you can't fucking live on it forever, oh wait...)
- Government Housing (Are you fucking kidding me, it's free and most people also use welfare and also hit up food banks, it's like they're getting the supreme deal)
- I'm strongly opposed to socialized child care, seriously, that's another system that will get abused and used
- YMCA job placement services (It's fucking useless and employs shit-tards at high salaries which spend a lot of time beating around the bush but spending months to find you a job, I don't want to talk to you about my job skills, I want to work, today)

im not for or agaisnt ron paul. some of his ideas i do like though. such as giving the state more power and taking it away from the one centrally locatd guberment site.

from the way i see it, he supports that washington rules over 50 seperate state entities with a few guidelines (his constitutionalism stuff), then allows the states to impose more guidelines on the people that live there (none interfering wiht the constitution). that means something that is legal here in illinois may not be so in indiana (concerning something that is currently illegal in both places mandated by the government). i honestly support that idea (unless i completely misunderstand it, which is very possible).

just because he does/does not support gay marraige (i have no idea, this thread has said both now) doesnt mean he wants to have laws set in either direction right? he wants to let the state itself allow/not allow it. how is that a bad thing? whether he approves of it or not, if he doesnt prevent a state from choosing either way... how is that bad?


also, if youre willing to learn how to weld and work an off shift, i can get you a job in the plant making 13.50 at a union position.

As for gay marriage:

But here's the thing people need to recognize. It's not about whether Ron Paul is for or against gay marriage, he's for the constitution. The constitution, according to Ron Paul, doesn't say that the federal government can legally mandate what constitutes marriage. So whether he supports it or not, it will end up with the same result, the states decide. So some states will allow gay marriage and some states won't, at least that's what I'm predicting.

If there's one thing I like about Ron Paul it's his ability to stay true to the principals that his country was created on. I like the idea that states have more control to create laws that directly affect their people. Some laws aren't accepted nation wide and it's time people started realizing that certain laws that will work in Illinois wont work in Texas.

In fact I cant tell you the name of whoevers in charge up there, but you can tell me at least the last 2 us presidents and the people who are trying to be the next us president. This alone is the mark that we are in a better country than you. We dont care about your politics because you arent important enough to us. Meanwhile it seems to me that the rest of the world is hanging on who America elects as its next president.

Ignorant Americans make me laugh, they're so centered around themselves and their people, as long as other people agree with them I guess. Canadian elections are important to me because they directly concern me, American elections are important to me because they directly concern me. You've already mastered this shit attitude of my country doesn't concern you, and you're not important to us, yet me sell you oil, water, and lumber. We pretty much give you these things at a very, very low price. Canada toppled your currency and has been on a fist fight to hold our currency above yours. We are currently in the lead as of today, so eat your words shit face. We toppled your currency with a population of 33 million where as you have 303 million. Canada's markets are out performing and yours are in decline, your national debt is about $30,000 per person. Your still working at paying the interest off that debt while our markets are blooming. There's no such thing as a conservative anymore, like Ron Paul said war goes against everything that makes you a conservative. Learn to understand that party lines do not solely represent a person's intention when they are president.

Canadian politics are boring for the most part, look at our population size, how interesting do you expect it to be? But American elections concern me because I want to know what the 'world police' will plan on doing next, you're also our number one partner in trade retard.
