NCAA Tourny!

OOO so exciting. For those of you who are American and follow men's college hoops (womens suck, stupid UConn >) are you taking the ESPN bracket challenge? If so what upsets do you have so far (for the first round of course). So far I have Weber over Wisconsin and Holy Cross over Marquette.

If you don't like B-ball don't turn this into a "B-ball sucks thread"

- Cinderella teams (notice what region most of them are from):

1. Weber State (#12, Midwest region)- their success all depends on their star player...his name escapes me right now, but he averages 22 points a game

2. Missouri (#6, Midwest region)- Made it to the Elite 8 as a #12 seed last year. Beat Kansas in the Big 12 tourny, took Oklahoma to the wire in the championship game. They enter the dance as a #6 seed this year, and I'm confident they'll make it to at least the Sweet Sixteen.

3. Colorado (#10, South region)

4. Oregon (#8, Midwest region)) - Luke Jackson and Luke Ridnour are two of my favorite players in college hoops - they have a chance at beating Kentucky

5. Tulsa (#13, Midwest region)

6. Western Kentucky (#13, West region) - according to several NCAA analysts, they are one of the best teams right now...they just don't get noticed.

8. Penn (#11, East region) - I always pick them, and they always lose

- West region is by far the most competitive. Arizona, Kansas, Duke, Notre Dame, Creighton - that's just nasty.

- East region is by far the least competitive. If Oklahoma loses to any of those teams (with the exception of Syracuse, Carmelo Anthony is the truth...a freshmen who averages 21 points a game, GOOD LORD) they should be embarrassed. As much as I hate the Sooner's Hollis Price, he's probably one of the top 5 players in basketball right now. Anyone who can consistently hit 3's jumping sideways gets my respect.

-Xavier has the potential to make it to the Final Four. You heard me.

- Texas is going to be the #1 seed to get upset. Why? Becuse Texas did not deserve the #1 seed. They lost to Oklahoma twice, Kansas, in addition to getting STOMPED by Texas Tech (they won 6 games all season) in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament. T.J. Ford can't carry his team through this entire tournament like he did the regular season.

- Pitt is going to make some serious waves. Brandin Knight is real good. Watch for them.

- All of the #4 seeds are ass.

- I hate emoticons

- Every single Big 12 team in the tournament (6 of them, representation taking place) will win their first game with the exception of Oklahoma State.

I'm looking forward to watching the tournament. It's by far my favorite post-season sporting event to watch.

I have the Uconn men going to Final Four on my 15k$ bracket, damn I hope ESPN was right about that.

Kansas over Arizona, that's my biggest one away from the first round. Louisville over Oklahoma (what was I thinking, could happen though, Louisville is known for upsets).

If Uconn makes it to the Final Four I win my 100$ (God I'm a dumbass)

Colorado is money, look for #4 Illinois to make some noise, although its Kentucky whos gonna win it all, I pikced them at the start of the season so don't give me this Dicky V crap.

Duke all the way. Best shooter in college basketball, plus senior experience and a deep bench.

I think Duke has a chance, and I think they were seeded fairly, unlike Kansas :/

If Knight doesn't go down, and Troutman gets healthy, the best team with the hardest path to the final game will make some teams go home early. Pitt has the talent and passion in the players, and the physical presence to match it up. They also have the depth that so many teams these days lack. I think Missouri is going to run pitt to their final wits, then Kentucky will wash the floor with what is left of them. Kentucky wins the NCAA, everyone is calling it, but it is the best bet. Oh yeah Pitt should have Texas's one seed. Big East Champs is one hell of an achievement, much better than 3rd in the big 12. T.J. Ford is so sick though. He is one amazing college basketball player. Anyone else see floridia going out early?

Yea Andy USALLY winning the Big East is a great thing, but Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Uconn sucked it up at the end of the year.

Personally I don't think Pitt can withstand the tournament with all of their injuries. If Lett fouls out any earlier in a game, I think that will their downfall also.

Your right, I don't think Texas deserved the number 1 spot, but I don't think Pitt deservs it either.

All I can say, is this tourney is going to be upset haven.
