Just to have it said, one of my friends has been attempted to be framed for rape. The stupid bitch fell asleep, and actually had dreamed the entire event. Even with a few witnesses, it took some time to get their names cleared. I grew up with the guy, and he were the person I knew the best outside my family at that time. It really, really got to him mentally. He's still a good friend of mine, but I moved to another part of the country for no reasons related to him.

Just because a person desires other women, doesn't make him a rapist. Even he is super sexist.

In this specific case, I have no doubt that she is telling the truth, even when I've had a friend going through a fake rape charge before. I have several reasons to why I think so, but I'm not going to go into detail about it.

Edit: In the case with my friend, she seems like a cool and nice person until this happened.

So what did we do? First, obviously, we cut off all contact with the guy. Then, we talked to all of his friends about what he did and even though they didn't know us, they knew her (most of them did) and then cut him off. The result? Now everyone who knows him knew what he did to her. Whenever he starts chatting up with a new girl, someone kindly lets her know about his past.

Is it mean? Yea. Is what he did to her? Even more so. We damaged his reputation - the thing he most prized, seeing how vain and self-centered he was (most abercrombie models are) - and now he's stuck with the guilt of what he did and basically no friends.

As for the girl, I can give you the perspective of what I would want if I was in her situation. I would just want someone to talk to whenever I was feeling extra depressed about the situation. It's really the thought that counts. Saying that you're going to beat the guy up wouldn't make me feel any better, because girls have a protective instinct. Even though the guy did that to her, deep deep down she wouldn't want him possibly dead and the person who is there for her to talk to in jail.

So basically - summary of this post if you didn't want to read it - damage his reputation and just be there to listen to her.
How do you know he actually did this, if you guys had a rape kit or something then you'd be able to prove it. If there was scars and bruising from the force or something, I'm not rape expert but I see a lot of guys get accused of taking advantage of girls and it just turns out they were both drunk and the girl doesn't remember it.

I think it's bullshit that you ruin a guys reputation without any proof other than what you hear from other people. You're just getting involved in a slew of he said she said stuff.

People get horny and they want to fuck, I've stopped myself several times because I don't want to a) cheat on my girlfriend b) catch a b for something I didn't do. I almost fucked one of my ex girlfriends last year and we were both so drunk that she half wanted it and half didn't so I decided to walk away from it because I knew that she wanted it then suddenly acted as if we shouldn't. I wasn't getting accused of putting my dick in her when she said do it then no don't do it. When you're intoxicated at a party be smart and know who you're with and how much you've had to drink. I've learned my limits and only had one occasion where I completely blacked out and didn't remember certain events of the night, like a guy falling down the stairs right in front of me. But luckily my friends let me puke it out, put me into a bed and left me with some water and made someone check on me every twenty minutes.

I don't see what's so stupid about offering my advice in a situation that I have a little experience in. I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I'm just trying to help through my experiences.
In my experience students who don't party a lot or experience drugs and alcohol until a later age tend to not know their limits or how much they should or shouldn't have. Being a straight A student doesn't mean anything, we all are teenagers or we've all been one and we know that people cheat on each other and relationships tend to be a fucking joke. I'm not saying she cheated on him but without and proof what so ever I can't see how you can take on this vigilantly justice that involves damaging someone's emotional state as well as their reputation in your community.

If there's signs that he did sleep with her and that it was aggressive then that's pretty much a good enough reason for a conviction. Don't take the law into your own hands and convict someone they haven't been convicted for.

Just to throw it in here, a person who is falsely accused of rape can be equally damaged as a rape victim. The person can lose his friends, job, girlfriend and even get several beatings that will scar him for life.

It's weird how this thread turned around and that I'm posting stuff like this to a drunken emo thread where I want to go on vigilante justice. All in all, it's a good thing for me as it helps me get some more perspective on things.

yeah man, I wouldn't want to accused of something I didn't do. Think about the guys family, do you think they can live in the community? These actions can be more determential to the person's family that has been accused of such things.

I'm so thankful I walked away from fucking the ex girlfriend, it was innocent dry humping that lead to touching but I could tell she wasn't herself and wasn't sure so I walked away. Some people are too drunk to not walk away, I was lucky that a) I didn't fuck her b) she remembered it c) walked away before anything got too intense d) didn't lose my friends, job (since we worked together) and wasn't put away for rapeing someone.

I talked to the girl the next day and we both said we were horny and drunk and that it wasn't a big deal, it's been a little weird since but I'm glad three years down the road I don't accused of raping her.

edit: lol i just remembered we slept over at friends house 6 months after this and she basically tried to grind me all night. Some girls are not worth fucking, seriously.

We were out drinking, and we went to new bar sometime along the night. After a few minutes she starts to act weird, and wants to get out fast. She later told us that one of the bartenders raped her 6 years ago.

Please, help me sort this out.

To you, my friends, I seek advice. I can feel a deep hatred that I've never felt before. This goes against what I've been protecting my entire life.
If she is a true friend, she wouldn't ask you to risk your own life for her. Rather, she is seeking support, and as a friend, it is your duty to provide it to her. As stated above, two wrongs don't make a right. Of course if put into the situation, one would naturally want to retaliate with violence. But, as someone stated earlier, it only provides temporary happiness...it does not provide absolute happiness. The best thing to do is to make sure that the individual is put away.

She were only 19 that time, and had smoked some pot. She were too afraid to come forward because she was scared of him, and she didn't think she would get any credibility since she had taken "drugs". Also, she couldn't afford to have anything drug related on her record.

I'm not clear on the details, I were after all drunk that night.

I like how you mention that you were 'friends with both of them' when you obviously weren't. Why even mention it? It seems like for whatever reason you just don't believe anything the guy said, and believe the girl with no proof more than he said, she said. That's not being a friend at all.
