Thats the beauty of a forum such as this. There is no way for any of you to find out who I actually am talking about, short of extreme measures. I can't really ask/tell my other friends, because they can't know who it is about. So its good to be able to get an outlet for something like this somewhere.

I see where your coming from, alright. I know a couple girls that got raped; they come to me after 3 years and expect something to be done... They really wait to long, in my opinion. If you can, get her to report it to the law? If not; ask the kid what took place; if he lies and chokes then kick his ass.

1. It's naive to believe someone doesn't lie, especially a friend of a friend.

2. Were you there? Do you know the details first hand? Was it premeditated? Were drugs and/or alcohol involved? etc...

3. How amazingly selfish is it to believe physically injuring someone over this is the right decision or makes anyone but you feel better.

4. Best friend's girlfriend? If you felt anywhere close to serious about going to jail for someone that close to you, I imagine you would be willing to commit genocide if this happened to your mother/sister. If that's the case feel free to go to jail or I'll chip in a few dollars to start seeing a psychiatrist.

I'm all for vigilantes (if they have cool equipment) or for bursts of homicidal rage, but wait until you have a better excuse.

I'm sick of twice removed acquiantances feeling like they are the victims. When you are the victim you will know it and then you will have something worth holding a grudge over.

I lived in Arizona and it wasnt uncommon for something like that to happen. As sad as it may be, but then again my high school senior class had like 10 pregnant girls.

She has to report it to the authorities and hope they can make a case, it's very likely they will look -and put some effort- into a rape-case.

And if they can't prosecute him she could still try to sue him herself.

This is one of the reasons you should have a 'legal aid insurance'. It really helps when you have an insurance company helping you out in cases where you feel powerless. That, and when they support your case you might not have to worry about the cost.

I know this guy that raped a girl I know. I was friends with both of them. To this day he claims it was consensual. She tried to press charges but didn't have enough evidence to win the case.

So what did we do? First, obviously, we cut off all contact with the guy. Then, we talked to all of his friends about what he did and even though they didn't know us, they knew her (most of them did) and then cut him off. The result? Now everyone who knows him knew what he did to her. Whenever he starts chatting up with a new girl, someone kindly lets her know about his past.

Is it mean? Yea. Is what he did to her? Even more so. We damaged his reputation - the thing he most prized, seeing how vain and self-centered he was (most abercrombie models are) - and now he's stuck with the guilt of what he did and basically no friends.

As for the girl, I can give you the perspective of what I would want if I was in her situation. I would just want someone to talk to whenever I was feeling extra depressed about the situation. It's really the thought that counts. Saying that you're going to beat the guy up wouldn't make me feel any better, because girls have a protective instinct. Even though the guy did that to her, deep deep down she wouldn't want him possibly dead and the person who is there for her to talk to in jail.

So basically - summary of this post if you didn't want to read it - damage his reputation and just be there to listen to her.

You're just.. insanely stupid.
First of all, I believe you're just making all this shit up as to tell us your own story, because you're a piece of trash attention whore. But if you aren't, let's use some common sense..
First, if police weren't provided with enough proof what makes you believe her?? And why would an abercrombie model rape anyone.. he probably has girls on his ass all the time anyway. Trust me I know how it is

What makes me believe her? Well she's a nice girl, a straight-A student and she had and still has a steady boyfriend. He's a vain chauvinist womanizer. The police didn't have enough evidence because there weren't any witnesses and she go to the hospital to get the rape kit thing done.
